Update... Well it turns out that the Druid didn't use his incriminating evidence to blackmail the merchant. Instead he joined the rest of the party in breaking into the shop in a search for the item. So far it hasn't turned out too good for them, as the rogue (yes the halfling rogue *sigh*)...
