I think the borders of the Shield Lands is a fine placement. Plus you’re near enough to the Rift and Rift Barrens for more sources of ruins or monsters in caves. The wider region around White Plume is fairly well covered for inspiration and material.

Plus the Red Steel expansion to Mystara covering the Savage Coast region gave us smokepowder and guns, though limited to that region by magical curse to keep the guns from spreading to the rest of the planet.

I think either the term “psionic energy die(dice)” will need a change or the community will invent a new shorthand. 7 syllables just to refer to a common class resource is going to be a mouthful every time. I don’t like the abbreviation PED, but it might stick.

Reading the paragraph introducing wild talents has me excited for what they may have in mind for matching backgrounds to go with those wild talents. “Backgrounds representing their connection to wild talents will be included with these feats in a future book if they become official, …”

A low-key aspect is the roving stateless corporate giants out monopolizing and exploiting that need a good pounding.

Primary: thematic compatibility with the role of psionicists in Dark Sun. Secondary: a good enough generic all-purpose mental-powers class that could fit a setting where worldbuilding uses just that.
