    Worst 5th party member

The monk. He does nothing to help a party unless you come up against a few unarmored spell caster. Everything else destroys him.

    D&D Compatible Champion Class

That is a good point. Nothing would be incorrect about making it a temporary inherent bonus though would it? That would seem to correct most of the deficiency you see?

    D&D Compatible Champion Class

I apologize Tywyll I took things too far and am prepared to let the argument drop. So without further ado: The War Cause War This champion seeks to promote and maintain the arts of war. A champion of war might be a mercenary, a general or an elite soldier. He might be an honorable soldier...

    D&D Compatible Champion Class

Ah. Typical argumentative narcissism. My disagreeing with your argument is rude, but of course my argument is both 'faulty' and 'incorrect'. So I was way off base for assuming you want evey class to have spot? But of course you think the fighter should have it. The only classes in the game...

    OT: Video game reveiw site

Does anybody know the name of the site that compiles all the reviews of various other online sites into an average? They collect reviews from gamespot, gamespy, PCGamer, etc and average them. Thanks.

    D&D Compatible Champion Class

I was referring to spell resistance. Your logic seems nonsensical. Thats like arguing a fighter should have spot because they are always prepared for combat or a Paladin is always looking for evil doers. I made the change to bring the class more in line with the Paladin. It doesnt need spot...

    D&D Compatible Champion Class

Here is a champion of peace. He would certainly be an interesting roleplaying option. I gave him a whopper of a 20th level ability and not exactly sure how reasonable or balanced it is. Comments or suggestions? Peace This champion seeks to promote peace and end violence. A champion of peace...

    D&D Compatible Champion Class

Ah good comments. I will tell you about some of the changes I made and the rational behind them. One of the problems i saw with the base Champion is he basically had a Barbarians rage....but better. So I went out and made several distinct changes to the champion's version of 'rage'. First...

    D&D Compatible Champion Class

Here is my version of a Champion of the Law. Comments please. Law This champion has sworn to uphold the Law. Champions of the law might be bounty hunters, devout sheriffs, criminal investigators, or militant judges. Some seek to serve the law of the land and insure the guilty are punished...

    D&D Compatible Champion Class

I decided I wanted to make a Champion class that is more compatible with baseline D&D and incorporate it into my world. Monte's base class is good but WAY to strong to play with standard D&D classes and I made several modifications. Comments would be greatly welcomed as would ideas for more...

    Eliminating "Raise Dead" and "Resurrection"

I had a similiar problem IMCW. My solution was to set a hefty xp requirement to the casting cleric. You will find a cleric, particularly of a different faith, much less willing to cast a raise spell if it costs them a big chunck of personal power. I also had a percentage chance that a servant...

An idea for a broken Fighter class

I like the idea of simply using better feats for now. Fighters are limited mostly by the lack of good medium and high level feats. You could even poach some of the warmain's abilities like Armor specialization from AU as a feat. The current weapon focus/specialization seems to be on a +8 BAB...

Should D&D be a "Living Game"?

Most classes are inflexible because they are essentially the same. Take 2 20th level Barbs and what do you have? 2 20 level Barbs with the exact same rage, damage reduction, speed and a couple of different feats. Now compare the classes with some variety and ask yourself what is it that...

Should D&D be a "Living Game"?

I disagree. PrCs were made necessary by the inflexible character creation process. Feats were the good idea and they definitely need to be expanded in future editions. I have no problem with gaining a feat every odd level. Maybe then we wont have to see so many classes who need bonus feats...

Should D&D be a "Living Game"?

I agree with the both of you. PrCs were a really bad idea.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 3.5

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Standard Guns & Ammo Question... Well Vamps have been shown to be able to ignore a great deal of most pain. Spike got off on being hit for instance. Stab wounds and bullets dont hurt them much beyond the initial sting either. Holy water and fire though are a lasting pain.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 3.5

Re: Re: Re: Standard Guns & Ammo Question... I think it just really, really hurts. Its kind of like being hit by fire over and over again. Im still waiting for Willow to figure out that ball of sunlight spell.
