It was in 3e. It was stated multiple times in the DMG for 3.0 (and I have been told for 3.5) which is why many players were not aware of it.

I voted the stat block should be as long as it needs to be. For most things, the stat block should fit on one page (lore can go over). However, as some others have written, certain unique creatures (e.g. Vecna, the demon prince, arch-devils) can go over if needed.

I wouldn't allow most WOTC supplemental material as I find it just poor design (of which the Twilight Cleric is just one example). Most of what I see so far in the playtest classes just furthers my dislike for the work of the current design team. Much better 3pp content out there to choose from...

I suspect that I will be disappointed and plan to wait for it to come to either a TV or a streaming service. On the plus side, there will not be scenes of kids playing the game and controlling the characters.

I'd be all for an elemental subclass and giving the moon druid the ability to hit harder. It would allow me to ban the elemental subclass which does not fit my homebrew campaigns and solve my criticism of the moon druid changes.
