D&D 5E (2024) Next issue of Game Informer will have details on the two upcoming Forgotten Realms books

By the way, click around on D&D Beyond - each book/bundle has different art showcased! Some of the art is repeated, but HoF has a nice Selûne/Shar piece, as well as one of Elminster. AiF has some Red Wizards and some really pretty landscapes.

D&D 5E (2024) Next issue of Game Informer will have details on the two upcoming Forgotten Realms books

I'm going to guess they will likely be in the main bestiary.

1501 DR is the Year of the Shining Mythal, which does sound fairly portentous. And I'm glad they're moving the calendar up a few years, and actually specifying one instead of kind of dancing around the subject like in earlier 5e products.

D&D General More Details Revealed for Forgotten Realms Digital Expansions

There's a lot from the panel on the Game Informer article thread, which we've been using as the main discussion for the books here.

D&D General More Details Revealed for Forgotten Realms Digital Expansions

I would have to believe that they would individually go on sale, if not at the same time as the product, at least sometime relatively soon afterwards. I can see them keeping them exclusive to the bundle for a bit (but not permanently) in order to give the bundle extra value, and take advantage...

Forgotten Realms Books to Have Several Digital DLCs, Including One Featuring Asterion

Oh, so it's back? That was a really useful equipment source book back in 2e.

The 2 monsters will likely be for familiars, with one being the tressym.

D&D General Amazon Links For Adventures In Faerun & Heroes of Faerun already available on US Amazon.

We were theorizing that the Setting Guide would be in AiF, but the Amazon description puts the "Setting Guide" in HoF. So that could definitely make it the bigger book if that section runs up the page count. I would assume most of the maps you mentioned in a other post will be illustrating...

Wow, they've changed it quite a bit from previous editions.

D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

Interesting that they kept 3 of the 4 from.the regular cover, but substituted in the helmet guy with staff at the bottom for Minsc. The other three are still recognizably the same.

D&D 5E (2024) Next issue of Game Informer will have details on the two upcoming Forgotten Realms books

That's going to throw a wrench into the cover art thread lol.

They basically took over Sembia for a bit, but in the end they were overthrown, and the last of their floating cities crashed over Myth Drannor.

D&D 5E (2024) Next issue of Game Informer will have details on the two upcoming Forgotten Realms books

Thank you! If you can, ask how much coverage the areas outside the mini-settings will be getting. Hopefully they'll just say outright though...

That does given some wiggle room for things for gold vs. shield crunch, such as putting in alternate abilities for gold with shield as the same as the PHB, simply because those would be new  lineages and not species. That's just hope and speculation on my part, though.

The dwarves baking was pretty cool, actually, although the baking was just one character (everyone else is forging/blacksmithing). All the PHB species section art was basically "what this species looks like when at home."

D&D 5E (2024) Next issue of Game Informer will have details on the two upcoming Forgotten Realms books

Same here! If they do go the full 60 - 70 pages like other recent releases, there's plenty of room for all sorts of monsters to make a comeback! My hope is that one of the DLCs is Cormyr getting the mini-setting treatment. It's irked me that Cormyr, being pretty much one of the main pillars of...

D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

I've always found the tiny 6 by 6 inch box of treasure to be the most hilarious part. It's the draconic hoard equivalent to a penny jar.

I was thinking similarly, at least in part. They may also be a mix of locations and adventurers.

Oh, sorry, I must have been editing when you quoted the post. As I said, it's nothing like the old 1e - 3e spirit dragons, which didn't possess wings.

D&D 5E (2024) Here's The Covers of BOTH of November's Forgotten Realms Books

The closest thing I can find is the emerald dragon in Bigby's, which has roughly the same coloration (dark green on top/back, pale on the bottom/stomach), but the horns are definitely not a match - an emerald dragon's horns are floating crystals, and not branched. I was also possibly thinking...
