D&D General The Resurrection of Mike Mearls Games.

Did he lose weight? I hardly recognized him. Also, good for him! I wish him well.

Starfinder What Starfinder stuff should I grab after Christmas?

I thought the Galaxy Exploration Manual was quite good. Tons of advice on creating worlds.

D&D General Ollie’s has Campaign Cases for $3 and Warriors of Krynn for $10

I was trying to find the monster campaign case, but Ollie's was sold out when I stopped by.

Planestriders, Voidrunners, and Monstrous Menagerie II -- EN Publishing's 2024 Slate!

The Voidrunner's Codex has caught my attention. Is it more of a pure sci-fi game (i.e. Esper Genesis), or can it be used to create a science fantasy setting (i.e. Starfinder or Star Wars)?

Vote For The Most Anticipated RPG of 2024!

That's fair. Thanks for the clarification.

Vote For The Most Anticipated RPG of 2024!

Was there some criteria that prohibited D&D 5e Revised (whatever it's called) to not be on there?

    Has Anyone Statted the Tatzelwurm?

Interesting. One of the early Pathfinder modules was called Hollow's Last Hope. It had a monster called the Tatzlwyrm.

D&D General What Is Your Dream 50th Anniversary Product?

I'd like to see something Greyhawk related. Maybe a boxed set, with a Greyhawk sourcebook and Castle Greyhawk adventure. Throw in a book for Blackmoor and you've got something cool.

D&D General Edition Changes and Brand Identity: Remembering New Coke

I remember New Coke. It wasn't about nostalgia for classic Coke for me. It just didn't taste good. I once had a teacher say that Coke created New Coke on purpose to drive up sales of Coke Classic when it came back out. I don't know how accurate that is.

D&D General Can you still buy individual items from D&D Beyond?

Okay, so I guess I'm being impatient. I was wanting to get one item from the Book of Many Things. Probably not available yet.

D&D General Can you still buy individual items from D&D Beyond?

One of my favorite parts of D&D Beyond was the ability to buy a specific item (i.e. race, class, spell, magic item). I'm not seeing that ability any more. Does that functionality still exist, or did they do away with it?

D&D 5E (2014) Verdict on Book of Many Things?

I was just glad that they finally got the Sword of the Planes in 5e. Took them long enough! Much simpler than prior editions, too.

D&D 5E (2014) MCDM The Talent available now. Psionics class for 5th edition D&D.

The comic book look to the book alone has me sold. Plus psionics? Yes please.

Planescape Manual of the Planes for 5e on DMSGuild

I'm glad to see that some of the folks who worked on Planewalker.com had a hand in this. They're one of the big setting sites that were designated as official fan sites back in 2001, much like the Dragonlance Nexus, Athas.org, etc. Kudos to everyone involved. I'm definitely going to pick up a...

Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse Review

I just realized that the Lady of Pain's headdress has a green d20 hanging from it. :D (Apologies if this was brought up before.)

D&D General What do you actually like about D&D?

Those are excerpts. Burning hands originally had you putting your thumbs together and fanning your fingertips apart. It's a small detail, but for me, it was good flavor text. That little bit of flavor text was dropped in 3rd and 4th editions. Not only did 5e bring that flavor back, they put in...

D&D General What do you actually like about D&D?

What I like about D&D...and this is in no particular order... I like how it's a game where players come together to make a story. I love the settings. Some more than others. Dragonlance is my jam, followed by the Forgotten Realms. So many good settings. I like that 5e is a relatively easy game...
