Devlin turns to Tor. "Tor...why does that sound familiar? Oh, yes, I believe I heard some people mention you in the Red Dragon. Some rumor about you being some sort of dragonkin or something."
Lucien smiles at his friend. "I would expect no less than full preparedness on that front from you, Richard."
"My horse is quite comfortable in the wood, even alone, and I would not feel right leaving him behind in the city."
"Gur, good to have you along with me." Devlin eyes the dog and slowly holds out his hand for it to sniff. "Wow, that name's quite a mouthful. Mind if I just call him Grue?"
ooc: I am beginning vacation this morning and will not return until late Monday night. That means Lucien Rayes and Devlin Magruder will be quiet until then.
Lucien turns to scan the room, then faces back to Rinya. "No, m'lady. I have not seen him since arriving at this gathering. But I agree, the tale of our meeting with the dragon should be told."
Lucien Rayes grudgingly takes an aisle seat as the Council begins and listens carefully to the tale. The only emotion he betrays is a hardening of his face when the sage from Rivenblight makes his comments about halfbreeds.
Elsewhere, Devlin lets out a low whistle as the recess is called...
Devlin Magruder, despite not being connected with any of the present dignitaries, manages to find a seat inside the chamber in the hopes of obtaining that most valuable of treasures...information.
ooc: Okay, so there's a group riding magical mounts and another traveling on foot through the wilderness? If that's the case the Devlin would travel with the magic and Lucien would take the wilderness.
Lucien steps up beside Richard. "I will go with you, my friend. And I now have my own horse with which to travel."
On the other side of the room, Devlin hangs around Fimble & Babette. "Oooh, an adventure. I sure hope the pay is good."
