I'm kind of ok with this. If you want a Wizzaard who casts spells, but can't spell his own name. So, every spell he casts is a gamble at best-then the Int 6 wizard might be fun to play! Will piss of the party, but might be fun to play....

I guess my problem with that is-why not have those people prepay before so you have their reviews for your kickstarter? Otherwise it just seems a bit greedy to me, but the market will bear what the market will bear.

It is, but there is too much of that in the later Skull and Shackles. You will have parts where you will spend 20 minutes drawling out the map, play for over an two hours with lots of monsters dead, but the PCs won't even be winded. It just wasn't fun. I ended up increasing all the combats...

WotC has two choices when it comes to PDFs: they can sell them or people will "find" them online. I love the new basic stuff, but if they don't get on the ground floor on this, they will lose money!

I run encounters at a store. I pretty much let it be an "anything goes" zone with regard to whats being played at the table. We have playtest stuff alongside basic stuff. Its working ok. Then again, I keep the players from fighting too much about min/maxing et al.

I guess the early copy thing was the strange part for me. I know I'm not getting free stuff to write about on my website, but it's strange to see an early copy for reviews. Thanks for your input guys.
