Musk says he'll create an AI Game Studio

Here's a fairly recent (October 2024) link to a list of lawsuits faced by Musk companies. Scroll through them to see several that specifically relate to workplace issues and employee relations, including things like racism or sexual harassment in the workplace, anti-union activity, pay disputes...

Itch.io Down Thanks to Funko Pop's "AI"

Sounds like the real problem was Itch's domain service taking down the entire site in response to a takedown request by Funko's IP violation monitor service ("Brandshield") for a single fan page. Whether the initial takedown request was legit (it was a apparently a fan page that linked to...

What Genre Do You Wish Inaugurated TTRPGs?

I don't know I'd frame it as a wish or that gaming would have been "better," but it would be interesting to see the evolution of RPGs had they originated from kung-fu/samurai flicks.

D&D General Elon Musk Wants To Know 'How Much Is Hasbro?'

What he was or was not 5 to 8 years ago is irrelevant to what he very clearly is today. People change, and opinions of people change; there's nothing weird or mysterious about that.

    gritty industrial/sci-fi horror RPG recommendation?

Yeah, that's kinda why I'm also wondering about Hostile. Since it's based on Cepheus, I think it'll be close enough to Traveller to be pretty familiar, while I think also including some sort of panic mechanic. But I'll find out soon enough: I went ahead and ordered a copy of Hostile Solo for a...

    gritty industrial/sci-fi horror RPG recommendation?

Oh yeah, another good call. Somehow I never played more than a few sessions of Traveller in all these years, and only just picked up (finally!) a facsimile version of THe Traveller Book this past summer. It's been great fun to experience an actual old game "for the first time" again.

My excuse for keeping so many books is that they'll make a fine funeral pyre.

    gritty industrial/sci-fi horror RPG recommendation?

Thanks for the input. Do you recall if the game is strongly tied to a particular setting, or is it pretty neutral in that respect?

    gritty industrial/sci-fi horror RPG recommendation?

Oh! I didn't realize Mothership was pwyw, thanks for the heads up. Do you know which books comprise the core rules? Is the game playable with just the players guide, or is the warden's ops manual also a core book? I admit I'm a little confused about just how the whole MOthership game is put...
