Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Does anyone else here assign specific voices to other users that you hear in your head when reading their posts?

Itch.io is shadowbanning or deleting NSFW and LGBTQ content

Fwiw, you can go to itch.io itself and browse its search page. There are about 5700 items available tagged "LGBT", and that tag is available on the default selection dropdown menu (as opposed to just typing in your own search term, which is also possible). Otoh, tags like "Adult" and "NSWF" are...

They were definitely well placed to take a little off the top of every transaction.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Yeah, I'm sort of the same. I remember how people hyped In-N-Out, but when one finally opened newar me, I was pretty "meh" about it. It was fine, i suppose, but the way I do a basic burger at home is nearly as fast, and has a lot more flavor and character. Plus, I don't have to wear pants* at...

D&D General Plants (and Fungi) that should be in your D&D Campaign!

It's definitely a nice way to add a "timer" aspect to a threat. Same could be said for something tied to seasons, migrations, tides or whatnot, that could introduce a similar sort of imminent doom, albeit on a slower scale.

D&D General Plants (and Fungi) that should be in your D&D Campaign!

In the Neverland setting by Andrew Kolb, there's a entry in the bestiary call "Infected" which riffs on this. It's an unknown fungus that compels a creature to climb to the top of a mountain where its head bursts to release a cloud of spores:

D&D General Have you ever retired a character?

Yes, several. The first was a 1e fighter who was killed in friendly fire(ball) incidents and raised at least four times. He eventually decided to give up on adventuring to take up the more placid life of a fisherman, while I moved on to play a wizard.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

A propos of noting... A long time ago in grad school, I read a local crime report that included the phrase "assaulted with a biscuit at Carl's Jr." Sadly I don't recall any other details.

I read, "Flea market exploded." I think, "Mmm, poppy seed muffins." Time for more coffee.

Diamond Distributors Asks Bankruptcy Court For Ownership of Publishers' Consignment Inventory [UPDATED]

Out of curiosity, what sort of assets does a distributor like Diamond typically own? (Aside from the question of the goods on consignment.)

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Sometimes I read a thread, but can't follow it at all. So I check if maybe there are any ignores confounding me, but nope, no ignores. That thread really does just make no sense.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Given what part of the country you live in, the answer is pretty obvious to me:

Judge decides case based on AI-hallucinated case law

This bit really concerns me: Are we looking at the possibility that AI slop threatens to drown even the legal system just because it's too "embarrassing" to deal with? I'm envisioning bad actors exploiting an already creaky system in very detrimental ways.

D&D General DMs, how do you handle 'split party' situations?

I've usually just told the whole group, and don't worry about it too much. Most groups are pretty good about keeping PC knowledge separate from players, and even if they don't it's fine. I think people have more fun when everyone is listening to what happens to everyone else. (It's also less...

    Old shows that you enjoy?

Heh, I just recently watched the old Kolchak TV series a few months ago. I'd never seen it, and never thought to watch it until @Ryujin, i think, mentioned it here several months ago. I'm currently slowly making my way through the 1970s Japanese TV series Zatoichi. A couple years ago, I...

    Realistic Combat that's Simple(ish)

Barbarians of Lemuria, etc, uses a 2d6 attack roll plus attack skill (eg, Melee or Ranged) minus the opponent's Defense skill versus a constant target number, 9. Armor subtracts from damage, ie, soak.
