What makes a successful superhero game?

Agreed. The mechanics had a hard time resolving things like they would in the comics. In MSH, Daredevil has a bit of trouble fighting and defeating 4 thugs; they're going to wear him out way more than they should. As well, DD can't really hurt Mr. Hyde, a common enemy from his run. DC Heroes...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Cooking our food was supposed to be a game-changer as well, no?

D&D General [rant]The conservatism of D&D fans is exhausting.

Man, there's no reading of what he wrote that could lead to this conclusion. Come on.

100% this. In sufficient numbers (which is how minions were encouraged to be used) they were the bigger threat. 13A has a minion mechanic as well, and players are not "let down" by discovering there are minions...quite the contrary.

D&D General WotC: 'Of Course We're Going To Do' Baldur's Gate 4

A loss in 2022 is not the same thing as "verge of bankruptcy in 2022." It would be honest to walk that particular claim back, no?

D&D General [rant]The conservatism of D&D fans is exhausting.

That is not at all what he's doing. @Hussar can correct me if I am wrong, but fwict, if he got a response of "Yeah, it doesn't necessarily make sense, but me and my group just like it this way," he'd nod his head and say "fair enough." No, it's the arguments (especially with their...

Because we weren't specifically using the term "in flux." Obviously.

A simple perusal on your part of what he mentions in his post would demonstrate its truthfulness, I'm certain.

No, you are mistaken. I don't have an opinion on who Snyder is. I have an opinion on the products he has made. I also know that said products are not solely his responsibility, and that there are a lot of chefs in the kitchen, so to speak, and so I can't ever be sure that what I am getting is...

Sure. I am sure you dealt with the hypersonic speed punches really well, too. Glad to hear it's not theoretical. And, again, this is Clark's first fight in his entire life.

You have an opinion about who Snyder is, without ever having had a conversation with the guy, and it's not going to change, apparently. You are entirely within your rights to do so. I can't imagine ever characterizing someone I have never even spoken with as shallow in their thinking...

    1) It doesn't sound like you have ever been in a fight, much less a superhuman one where people are moving faster than the speed of sound. 2) You are totally allowed your (judgmental) opinion. 3) Being kryptoninan makes the bolded part WAY more complicated than you are giving credit for. 4)...

    Spoilers Superman Spoiler Thread

Snyder is not a shallow thinker. Rather, he tried to ask himself "What would this actually be like today?" And the fact is, there is nothing in the Kents' lives that could have prepared them to raise a Kryptonian, with all the attendant issues that come with it (raising a human child is...

Seriously. The fight with the Kryptonians was the first fight Clark had ever been in in his entire life. One could argue he did TOO well, considering.

A friend and I are arguing over this: Did Superman kill those Raptors at the end? Either with his heat vision or the subsequent fall?

Thanks for this. Maybe it's not entirely accurate, but I appreciate you giving a real answer instead of a snippy one. FWIW, whenever I looked up "Ages" in comic books, Iron was missing.
