Think a Balor has +6 charisma save vs banishment. DC 18-21 range. Even with advantage its not great. LR3 doesn't last long either. Wonder if I should break down what I used as DM lvl 7+. I sampled a lot of the new monsters as well.

How about good saves and bring back SR and use greater magic resistance more?

I thought lost mines is the best adventure. BUT Stormwrack Isle was really good for newbies. Ice Peak Dragon one most lavish but not the best newbie adventure.

So new campaign is in brainstorming mode. The very basic idea is Cormyr sponsoring the PCs to secure the Stonelands. The villains are Shar/Shades maybe the Phaerimm. Aumvor, Larloch, Ioulaum, the Terraseer and Karsus can also be involved. Grand tour of Anauroch perhaps. Dead magic zones...

Its not the 1980s anymore. Its the local stores that screwed and we want to play in around 2.5 weeks. They're not waiting months, weeks or let alone years. If they want it bad enough they can get it.

2Es not known for quality adventures. The few that exist are in Dungeon, the good FR ones, Night Brlow and some of the late ones post TSR collapse.

The other reason is a new Darksun doesn't have the page count to add everything from DS splatbooks. I dont see them doing paraelemental domains for example.
