D&D General Weapons should break left and right

It is standard nowadays to not track non-magical ammunition but still track any magical ammunition. So endless quivers are still VERY powerful if you want unlimited magical ammo

D&D General Weapons should break left and right

Fighters having good reasons to use multiple weapons sounds great. If you proposed ways to accomplish that goal without punishing and screwing Fighters over (e.g. breaking their weapons), many people would likely support it. WotC attempted to achieve this with Weapon Mastery, with debatable...

D&D General Weapons should break left and right

You've lost me I'm not following what a list of feats has to do with either ammunition or weapons breaking

D&D General Weapons should break left and right

Exact same thing except that one can be tracked, predicted, and completely eliminated with proper planning versus the other is random and uncontrolled. So completely different. Only similarity is that both mechanics are annoying and I'd rather not use either one

D&D General Weapons should break left and right

How in the world is ammo the same thing as weapons breaking? Ammo is stupid too in DnD and I've never used it, but at least there it's a preparation thing where you can control making sure you purchase enough to not run out, and not something where all your ammo randomly disappears.

D&D General Wild Shape: Inefficient or Useless?

Circle of the Shepherd is suuuuuper strong in 2014 rules with Conjure Animals spell, just completely bonkers overpowered, to the point that many DMs ban it. It would make sense though to almost never use Wild Shape as a 2014 Shepherd Druid so you're probably not doing anything wrong.

D&D General Weapons should break left and right

The "right amount of complexity" is inherently good. "Too simple" is boring, and "too complex" is overwhelming/frustrating. Everyone can agree on that fundamental truth, but no one is ever going to agree on where to draw the line for the "right amount of complexity". The same class design...

D&D General Weapons should break left and right

You cannot solve the "problems" you describe without increasing class complexity. It is fundamentally not possible (which you imply in your post), but it also not the same crowd of people complaining about Martials being boring as the crowd of people wanting Martials to remain simple to play...

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

This way of playing is very widespread nowadays. Every table I've played at has used Fade Into the Background rules, literally 100% of DMs I've ever played with. Also it is specifically written in the 2024 DMG as the recommended way to handle absent players. You are all in a thread about...

    D&D General Games Economies

Your bullet points here are a great summary of what I strive for. I put near-zero effort into the overall world economy making sense, but I do want money to matter and make sense for the players. I find that the main solution that works well is lowering the amount of money given out, and...

D&D General Weapons should break left and right

I wasn't entirely sure what your goal was - you didn't mention realism but you also never mentioned fun either. "Realism" is the only possible argument I could see even a tiny bit in favor of this design, because yeah it is admittedly not 100% realistic that weapons and armor in DnD never break...

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

Ok to be honest I don't know the definition of "hijack" but the thread was about one thing and then a few people turned it a completely different topic so that's all I meant. Seemed like appropriate description but might not be

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

Yes you actually did mention that already a few several many times. No one is trying to convince you to change how you play, and it's not even relevant to what the thread was about before you hijacked it

D&D General Weapons should break left and right

Don't encourage them, there's a fairly large number of players in here who would take any chance they can get to make the game less fun in the name of "realism"

D&D General Wild Shape: Inefficient or Useless?

As far as official content goes I think the closest we'll get is Wildheart Barbarian which is kinda sorta Wildshape except not really, and then various species have Wildshape-esque features but are not very powerful. Rangers have their animal companions but I can't see them getting actual...

D&D General Wild Shape: Inefficient or Useless?

That seems hard to believe that a moon druid would frequently find remaining in humanoid form casting spells in combat to be better than utilizing Wild Shape (which can be done with spells cast first). What level is she and what creatures is she turning into? The damage and tankiness for a...

D&D General Wild Shape: Inefficient or Useless?

What Druid subclass are you using? Wild Shape is primarily meant for Moon Druids. As any other subclass it's a decent utility ability but yeah it's not meant to be all that useful since they rely on their other subclass abilities. As an edit: In the 2024 rules they do a much better job of...

D&D General Should the third Forgotten Realms DLC have actually been set in the Forgotten Realms?

Any chance of an explanation here? I have no idea what this refers to but I'd like to know

D&D General Weapons should break left and right

Spellcasters are always more powerful than martials in DnD, but this idea would really drive home the idea and make sure people only play Spellcasters. Not really a goal I'd aim for but it's one that could be done I suppose

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

But how could you prioritize making the gameplay more enjoyable for everyone when you can be a slave to verisimilitude? Heresy!
