I love the Infinity engine games, even though Icewind Dale 2 is tedious. As to BG3, characters and story may feel like a tabletop rpg and D&Dish, but the playstyle and mechanics is still very much a Divinity game. So I will pass on that one.

Just so you know, there are other large rpg forums with major sections for non-d20 games. And it's possible to use and frequent more than one forum. That way one can get a wider perspective on the different games that are played.

I run Foundry hosted on the Forge. Most of my favorite systems runs very well on it and have good support - Savage Worlds, WFRP4e, Pf2 - and hosting it on the Forge is imho well spent money for constant access and a problemfree experience. I don't know how well 3.5 and OSR are supported though.

I'm a heavy Savage Worlds fanboy and will of course recommend it for everything. But as to modern settings, I must shout out to Everyday Heroes, a 5e based system aiming to be an updated version of the old 3.5e d20 Modern game. It's a very nice system with lots of nifty tweaks to classes etc...

I will stay on Foundry, but it’s interesting that Call of Cthulhu is on the platform when we still doesn’t have an official CoC module for Foundry.

I can honestly see other problems than a fringe need for ships and water in trying to create a class of Seamen, in a game that is working hard to hook young consumers in a country with Florida in it.
