Wizards of the Coast's Archetype Entertainment to Publish Exodus TTRPG Based on Upcoming Exodus Video Game

Not enough though for artists to have chosen only phallic motifs, or for us to remember it as The Empire of the Schlong.

Wizards of the Coast's Archetype Entertainment to Publish Exodus TTRPG Based on Upcoming Exodus Video Game

Unless the physical society is extremelly infested with and dominated by phallic shapes, artists have a choice of motif. It’s possible I guess, but s far I haven’t seen Dick planet in Stars Without Numbers tables.

    What's your VTT of choice?

I use Foundry. Even though I'm a non-techy old geezer it is very easy to use with systems that have ok implementation in Foundry. Then there are lots and lots of fan created add ons to choose from and modify to taste. With that said, I took a couple of months to learn the basics and test run...

Wizards of the Coast's Archetype Entertainment to Publish Exodus TTRPG Based on Upcoming Exodus Video Game

That phallic shapes exist in a society, for utilitarian or esthetic reasons, doesn't necessarily mean that society itself must be depicted as and represented by them.

D&D General 5e D&D to OSR pipeline or circle?

I ditched 5e a long time ago, and use Savage Worlds as my system for current playstyle campaigns: character- and rp-focused sandboxes with lots of conspiracies, politics and intrigue. I only started to explore OSR this year, and it's a wonderful swamp to drown in. DCC is my game of choice, but...

Looking Back on 2024 – Looking Forward to 2025

I’ve only spent a modest amount this year on OSR and DCC pdf stuff. And the only thing I really need next year is the Foundryfied Savage Worlds Sci Fi Companion, then I’m good for a couple of years.

What TTRPG Is Perfect and Complete In One Volume?

I love SW, it's my goto system for most genres. But I still think it runs better with a setting or companion book, core alone can feel a bit thin. Still fully playable though.

What do you use Chat GPT for?

If you look at the examples in this thread it's not a misunderstanding in a rpg user context. And that's what we're talking about, right? If you talk about AI in general you will only get far leftist capitalism critique from me, I'll save you that per the forum rules.

What do you use Chat GPT for?

All I see from chat gpt etc is a way to not use ones own creativity. I want my brain - with all it’s limitations - to be able to get into creative overdrive when I need it. It’s something I enjoy and don’t want it to wither away or be replaced.

What TTRPG Is Perfect and Complete In One Volume?

Dungeon Crawl Classics, even though earlier experience with games and gaming adds a lot, as do the gazillions of zines, 3pp stuff and parallell systems.

D&D General [Humor] Things You Hate About 7E

I still prefer OOONOOOSR, like our grandpa's used to play it.

Payn's Ponderings~ Campaign settings and you?

I usually GM sandboxes where I like wide world framings, so I have stuff like overarching history and pantheons etc to lean on. It's been decades since I found fun in creating worlds as a thing in itself. Nowadays I prefer to let worlds grow organically through play.

    D&D General Let's celebrate D&D having things we don't like! (+)

I love how monsters are static sacks of hit points, from minions to interplanar demigods. Even if monsters have fullpage stat blocks, superhero PCs still just have to smack the piñata until it doesn't move. Combat being stress free and non-deadly means the players don't have to engage their...

What Should An Introductory Scenario Look Like?

I think an intro adventure should show me how the game creator think the fundamental parts of the system are meant to be played

Henry Cavill's Warhammer 40K Show Is Happening

Cavill is a pretty descent actor and seems like a nice guy, not only because he's a gamer too. Sadly the last words tends to come from the money guys who are more interested in doing dirty with interns than rolling dice (fools, I say!). But if only Cavill get enough input, I think this can be...

D&D General Just sweeping dirty dishes under the rug: D&D, Sexism, and the '70s

Here in Sweden it's been an enigma at least since I was a teen in the 80ies how the US can vomit out incredibly violent media (combined with bonkers non-existent gun laws), but showing a nipple shakes the nation. All the ongoing book bans etc still basically seems to concern showing real and...

    My "Savage" Experience

SW is my goto system and I only have good and fun experiences. But: I'm almost silly generous with Bennies, mostly because my players doesn't hoard them for combat but use them for fun/stupid/creative stuff. I usually home-brew campaigns in most systems. So when we started with the system I...

    Savage Worlds with no combat?

Well, any game is hard if there is dissonance between the GM and players.
