D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

I had not heard of these so I've just looked them up. They sound like they could be fun but, and I appreciate this only relevant to me maybe, they are specific to their own internal campaign setting. My group had the same issue years and years ago, when I ran War of the Burning Sky for...

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

I've played through all the 1st edition adventure paths and I don't recall any that ended before 16th. It's their 2nd edition that now caps 10th-12th. I love Shackled City and I've run it dozens of times under 3rd D&D and Pathfinder 1st. It's a gem for me. Never had a problem keeping it going...

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

Paizo's adventure paths for Pathfinder 1st edition went 1st to 16th and they worked fine. The third Runelord trilogy went up to 20th, and that worked fine. I don't think it's easy to write for those levels but Paizo show it can be done and well. It's just a case of making a story that works over...

    D&D General Orcs are misplaced

It's part of the problem where they take a monster race of old and make them a friendly player species today. It requires rewriting the setting somewhat.

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

The only problem I find with high level play from the DM's side of the screen is being aware of what spells and abilities your player's characters have access to. You need to be aware so that you can adapt what you are writing or modifying to accommodate for those weird way out spells/powers. If...

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

Just had a look and Dragon Delves caps at 12th.

D&D General How often do you use or encounter Dungeons and/or Dragons in your games?

I love dungeons but sometimes they can get a little dull and repetitive. Dragons I like to use sparingly so they don't get too overused. Mimics and Mazes.

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

But not high levels like 15-20. Not that I have noticed anyway.

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

I prefer all my campaigns to run from 1st to 20th. The problem is that there isn't enough high end material. I like Paizo's adventure paths but they only went to 16th and now not even that. Not even google searching from home brew campaign's out on the web is fruitless. I'd like to see a least a...

D&D General What Is In The New FR Books That IS Useful Outside FR?

I'm buying it to add the subclasses, feats, spells, equipment and magic items to my game.

New Unearthed Arcana Brings Back Five Subclasses

I'm guessing Drunken Master or Drunk Monk didn't sounds right to someone.

What is your favourite character type, (prof, class etc) And why?

I like ranger and cleric concepts, with bards a close second. I'm not one for playing the big burly fighter or barbarian these days.

D&D General Has Tiny Hut actually affected your game? Or has it otherwise mattered?

Only had players use it once and that was to hide from an encounter so they could strategize how to deal with it.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

Yeah. There's only one that I would call a complete miss, which is the weird confectionary based one. Just bizarre.

What is/are your most recent TTRPG purchase(s)?

Dragon Delves. Not the greatest but a few adventures that I can convert.

D&D General Forgotten Realms Books Tables of Contents

Cool. That's good to know. MotM is one I'm trying to track down for a reasonable price.

But isn't that book out of print? If so, that's a bit of a bad move for newer players/DM's.

    Your Three Desert Island RPGs

D&D 2024 - I'm a D&D fan and coming back to the game with this edition, I'm enjoying far more than any previous. Call of Cthulhu - Third RPG I ever bought and loved it ever since. Deadlands: The Weird West - Original 1990's before it lost it's way and became a different game. We had such fun...
