D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

Also not including Graze. So yea, my wording probably not the best wording.

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

Seems clean enough to me, but an alternative way would probably be something like. "Make a spell attack roll within the weapons range. If you hit, then deal damage as if you had hit with the weapon, but use your spell casting modifier instead of Str/Dex."

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

Just remember that Sorcerer's only get simple weapon proficiency, no weapon mastery, nor armor. So very likely a short bow for 1d6+3 with Advantage. Or 1d8+3 in melee. Lees thank a rogue with Vex and Nick (2d6+3 with "Advantage" on 1d6 sneak attack.) Or will a Barbarian with Graze. Or Ranger...

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

True Strike specifically says "make an attack with a weapon", beating any general rule of weapon attacks without using a spell.

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

Are you implying i can make "attacks with a weapon" without taking any kind of action? Or can you point to where does it say "as part of" anything else besides casting True Stike?

If not the spell, where does the attack come from?

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

True Strike is a Sorcerer spell you cast. No one is arguing against that. *presuming you took it as a Sorcerer It's an attack, directly from the spell. Nothing says in Innate Sorcery needs to be a "Spell" attack roll. Weapon or unarmed attacks are just as valid. And it's not telling you to...

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

This. It's an attack. That's the only condition. You're adding a word that isn't there. It says "Advantage on the attack rolls" Not Advantage on Spell attack rolls"

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

It directly says "make one attack " in the spell. Same as Fire Bolt says "Make a (condition) attack" It doesn't say "take an Attack action" or anything like that.

D&D 5E (2024) Does Innate Sorcery grant True Strike advantage?

Innate Sorcery doesn’t say spell attack rolls. It says "the attack rolls", plural. No limit on what kind of rolls they need to be. I could imagine a spell that said "make 6 attacks, using each of Str, Con, Dex, Int, Wis, and Cha as your attack modifier". And I see no reason why Innate...

    D&D 5E (2024) [+] What does a non-spellcaster Psion need/look like?

I don't have an issue with psions casting "spells" so much as them using "spell slots" to do it. Monk makes more sense IMO. Flurry of Befuddlement Patent Thought Step on the Wits Deflect Attention Stunning Sanity Heightened Focus Delect Enthusiasm Perfect Focus

D&D 5E (2014) Thoughts on bonus action potions?

What i switched to. Potions refill at the start of every day. Thus no worry about wasting them. Obviously I give out far fewer of them than normal. Drinking as an action gives a bigger boost than a bonus action. For instant effect (healing) the action is maximum or rolled as a bonus action...

D&D General Rogue Subclass: Mastermind (Revised)

Interesting. Though inspiration has a changed a bit. It's now a reroll, not advantage. Thus stronger. So I would simply it a bit. Level 3: As a bonus action, if you do not have inspiration, you gain inspiration. Once you use this feature you can't use it again until your take a short or...

D&D 5E (2024) Bringing back the 5th level spell Far Step

Per WotC update rules, it will still need to be a level 5 spells. But at 5th level, I think buff it slightly to 10 minutes concentration, with upcasting options. I.e. 6th level: concentration 1 hour 7th: increase distance to 90' 8th: concentration until you take a long rest. 9th: no...

    D&D 5E (2024) What should the 15th Class be?

So... smites. Longstride and jump are both non-concentration movement buffs the ranger has. New ranger subclass: Gish. Spells known: searing smite, thunderous smite, Misty Step.

    D&D 5E (2024) What should the 15th Class be?

The paladin does. Which attacks with spell-imbuned swords. (I.e. banishing smite). Like staggering smite? Or just add some elemental "strike" spells to the ranger.
