Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerun - First Impressions

I mean, I own some company's stuff, and I'm not sure it is any better at all. And, those don't come with a setting book included. I don't LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this, but I don't get how any DM won't find it more than worth the price in actual usefulness compared to so many other books out there.

Heroforge introduces microtransaction model with Daggerheart collaboration

Of course....companies need to be aware of this. I'm not the company, though.

Heroforge introduces microtransaction model with Daggerheart collaboration

"company trying to make money has increased costs, so they pass them on" sure seems like a bad thing to be mad about.....Like, if there are really better alternatives, use them.

Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerun - First Impressions

It's 23 minutes long. It better be longer. I also disagree. There's a lot of good stuff here. And I don't need more OSR stuff, as he says.

Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerun - First Impressions

Strong disagree. These are very easy to use and different from each other.

Forgotten Realms: Adventures in Faerun - First Impressions

This is one of the best DM facing books ever. Just packed full of usefulness. Worth every penny.

    D&D 5E (2024) Let's dream up new FR-style books for other Settings.

Still bad. Unless there are lots of separate items. Imo, of course.

Environmentally wasteful slipcase again? No thanks.

I'm very happy not to get the wasteful slipcase and dm screen.

    Dragon Reflections #99

This issue was overall kind of boring for me at the time. Other than the ecology article, which was great.

Yikes. Didn't know about this until you posted. Also, I never loved the books as much as everyone. I liked them.

D&D General Initial Thoughts on the Two 2025 Forgotten Realms books

The adventure book is truly great. So much actually usable content. The player book largely suffers from the way subclasses are used in 5e. Just meh. Outside the subclasses, there a lot of good stuff. But I'm just not in love with a lot of it.

    D&D 5E (2024) Predict WotC's 2026 D&D releases

I can totally see them doing the same thing with dark sun they just did with the realms. I hope so! Though I'd love more monster next time ...

Adventures in Faerun is an amazing book. Easily top five FR book. Just truly useful.

D&D General Favorite Forgotten Realms products of all time?

I'm thinking about making this the center of act two in phandelver and below, instead of the inane stuff if the current product.

D&D General Mike Mearls says control spells are ruining 5th Edition

People think PCs need more power against bosses? Wow, that's a new one. He's not "complaining". He believes they are broken, from a design perspective. And, many agree.

D&D General Mike Mearls says control spells are ruining 5th Edition

Great idea! I need to copy this and expand on it. The dragon that lives near lava would be another good use.

D&D General Mike Mearls says control spells are ruining 5th Edition

The idea of the dungeon as the boss is really interesting. But the game isn't played in mega dungeons anymore. But it really has me thinking....otoh, I think players expect a climax, big fight, at the end of acts now.... Like, the spider is woefully weak, and I even upped him, but the paladin...
