Living in apple country now I can certainly appreciate good, fresh specialty orchard apples. Red Delicious are the candy corn / Necco wafer of apples. Though I still wouldn't want an apple in my trick or treat sack.

Back in the day I preferred Traveler, but today I have fonder memories for Star Frontiers and appreciate the lighter more space-opera feel as different compared to the grittier ex-merc rogue traders of Traveler. Still need to track down some Volturnus modules. Both great game systems in the end

I felt that this Galadriel felt a bit flat. I was hoping for a bit more of Cate Blanchett's otherworldly Galadriel. Maybe you need another 3000 years to reach the "otherworldly elf" level? On the other hand, Elrond I quite liked, though he came off as even more human than Galadriel.

Hindsight: very pretty, enjoyed the Elrond/dwarf relationship, really frustrated with the mangling of timeline and things just made up that go against elements published in the source material. Very expensive fanfic, basically. If I try not to think of it as Tolkien, it's fine fantasy.
