That's a fair assessment. He's meant to be a hybrid (like most druids) but definitely skews towards martial/tanking and battlefield control.

I played FoF back when it was released for 3e. My memories of it are quite vague, other than I thought it was a fun adventure. Never played VoD.

It’s definitely got that 2e/early 3e art vibe to it. I much prefer B&W ink art for Shadowdark.
