Critical Role to Use D&D 2024 Rules For Campaign Four, Expands to Three Tables and Thirteen Players

Not true. Matt has said multiple times that they switched because 5e was simpler and D&D had more name recognition. The endorsement money came later and not even through WotC but with D&D Beyond as a sponsor before WotC bought them.

Critical Role to Use D&D 2024 Rules For Campaign Four, Expands to Three Tables and Thirteen Players

The moment they announced BLM as the GM I knew D&D wasn't off the table. Daggerheart fans are taking it rough though, like this is some sort of betrayal and will doom the game... And I just don't see it unless the fans themselves leave the game because of this decision, which is a bit dumb...

D&D 5E (2014) Alternate Covers of Upcoming Forgotten Realms Books Revealed

To be honest, the spine and cover inconsistency is the main reason why I always get the standard covers anyways... I'm weird like that but I'm sure I'm not the only one

My FLGS (Spain) just put the alternate covers for pre-order. Have only seen the photo of a banner in GenCon but not the covers themselves. Couldn't get them in higher quality though.

Maps Feature on D&D Beyond Becomes Free to Use

I've never used Maps, I only have a Beyond account to redeem free content and Foundry is my VTT of choice and I don't think that'll ever change as long as whatever could be best is a subscription. That said, this news are positive no matter how you slice it. At worst it's subjectively neutral...

Dungeons & Dragons: Ravenloft: Heir of Strahd Review

You are comparing a 5 year upwards trend to a 1 day dip to prove them wrong?

Dungeons & Dragons: Ravenloft: Heir of Strahd Review

Yeah, and I don't mean this in any "derogatory" way but, Ravenloft can easily be "baby's first horror game". You can certainly tune in some aspects of horror with hard moral choices, body horror, general spookiness... It will never be Kult or Delta Green but you can certainly ride the edge of...

Dark Horse Reveals First Dungeons & Dragons Comic

This was my first thought. Love the diversity and I know medieval fantasy is anachronic almost by definition. But man, this doesn't even look like 2014 D&D... I'll dare say it even looks like a Critical Role knock off

D&D General Todd Kenreck Let Go from WotC

Two great creative minds working over a decade on the same system, settings and environment deciding to leave when the prospect is at least 5 more years of the same? I'm surprised they lasted as long

D&D General Todd Kenreck Let Go from WotC

They recently re-hired Greg Bilsland as Executive Producer, Wesley Schneider is still on the team as Principal Game Designer, James Wyatt is still on the team, Ben Petrisor, Justin Arman, Makenzie de Armas is still there and they're looking to hire two new people to fill Chris and Jeremy's...

D&D General Chris Perkins and Jeremy Crawford Join Darrington Press

Likely, the moment they start doing corpo shenanigans. Some have already started with the criticism towards the DH 3rd party license. I personally think they'll mostly skirt trouble since I believe they'll remain private for the foreseeable future. What makes WotC "corpo" is having to answer...
