Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

In the case of Facebook the medium and the echo chamber of "friends" is the 'mask.' Sure, people's vies can evolve, but it's a different thing when the person will flip a mental switch on their behaviour simply because, in one situation, they are in danger of being fed their teeth if they...

    Spoilers Fantastic Four (Spoilers)

No, I don't, but I completely get that. As you said, you don't also have the responsibility for 7 billion other people. And their own children.

    Spoilers Fantastic Four (Spoilers)

I kind of think that the baby thing wasn't supposed to really land in a sympathetic way. They were willing to risk the lives of literally billions for their kid and expected the general public to be OK with it. There's a detachment between The FF and the the average person that I don't think is...

Spoilers Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

A starship as big as TNG Enterprise is like a mobile navy base. I guess that just like you would have civilians working at places like the Officers' Club or the Navy Exchange, you would have them shipboard doing non-military tasks as well.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I tend to believe that the real person is the one you see when there are no consequences to their actions. Something about Oscar Wilde and masks...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I never saw "Night of the Hunter", but remember the scene from "Do the Right Thing." Made me wonder how many of the people who have that tattoo on their hands actually know the story. I've met at least two alt models who have it and never thought to ask at the time.

What makes a teaser or trailer work for you?

Same. Give me the genre and premise, then a few non spoilery scenes to let me see what the actor interaction and directing look like. Done.

Three computers updated to 25H2. Seems it's just an OK for later updates and not an update, in and of itself.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Back in the mid-late '90s, there was a government austerity programme in Ontario. This was just before I started working there. Budgets were cut to the bone. Management, in their infinite wisdom, decided that the best way to handle it was a round of buy-outs would be used to incentivize staff to...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Same. It's 27 years here. I'm currently at 25 vacation days a year, can carry 50 before cut-off, and generally get an extra week (sometimes 2) between Christmas and New Year as the uni is shut down.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

"Unlimited vacation days" is often a scam, as they add the codicil that the leave must be authorized by a superior, and must not impact productivity. In practice such authorization is rarely provided as productivity is, of course, always impacted by an emplyee absence.
