1. How important is the ability to randomly generate vs just make a map manually? I like the idea of randomly generating maps, but by the time I'm done toggling options I could have just drawn something rough, which has the added advantage of making me better at drawing maps, so it's a win-win...

AD&D 1E is the edition I played the most before 5E came out. I have insanely fond memories of those days - but almost no memory of what the rules were like! Maybe there's a lesson to be learned there.

Yeah, I had someobody point out to me a long time ago that it looked like I was avoiding drawing hair, and they were right. I was mostly drawing superheroes, and it turns out I was almost exclusively drawing characters whose costumes included full hair coverage!

I'd move the Avatar movies lower, and The Abyss higher. I've seen the first Avatar movie, and maybe made the mistake of not seeing it in 3D when it came out, because I found it mostly trite and dull. Also, as pretty as it is, a lot of what I see are the clever shortcuts Cameron took in...

The PHB seems really nicely redesigned, but I don't feel the need for anothe PHB. And there are so many good Monster Manual-type resources out there that I don't need to invest in the new MM.

Of the three new core books, this is the one I'm most interested in and most likely to buy.

Honestly, I kind of want proficiencies to just be skills.

Favorite magic item: Folding Boat. Gave one to my group when I was running a few years back, and they found SO MANY uses for it!

Ismael Cruz Cordova had a powerful romantic smoulder in season 1, so I missed that this season. Very curious to see what they do with him next.

I'm not sure I agree with this, but I don't have the headspace to articulate it right now - possibly because of ADHD! :LOL: That said, I would agree that neuronormativeness may be a reason for behavior, but it generally should not be considered an excuse. ;)

Recently had it pointed out to me that at the end of season 1, when Galadriel, Elrond and whoever else are at Celebrimbor's forge, there's an overhead shot where the shadow of a chain falls in such a way that Celebrimbor looks like he's chained.

Watching this with keen interest! I had a similar idea recently, when I realized how few dragon-like features dragonborn actually have. They "should" have a claw attack, a bite attack, natural armor, a tail sweep atatck, breath weapon, a wing atatck?, an enhanced sense, and a Charisma-based...
