D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

They are pretty cost effective, so that always makes me happy.
  2. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Welll I expect that an actually retailer who sells the books to know more than you and Fitz agreed with these numbers, though it wasn’t 15% it was closer to 25% for WotC if you do the math. He said there was a typo in there IIRC
  3. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Anything can disappear. We lost our collection of PDFs in a recent move. I’ve lost books in a basement flood. DrivethruRPG could go under, etc., etc. nothing is guaranteed. We were actually very grateful for our DnD beyond books because we didn’t loose those in our move!
  4. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

I don’t think so, but ask @FitzTheRuke he is a retailer in this market
  5. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General What makes a good Adventure

Again, I don’t DM - not my thing to give it a go. My DM does, I’m pretty sure, do what you suggest as he has most of the books but we never run them.
  6. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General What makes a good Adventure

I’m familiar enough to understand the issue without being intimate enough
  7. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General What makes a good Adventure

    I don’t DM, so I can’t help you there.
  8. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General What makes a good Adventure

Yes it can be much. You don’t get to tell other peoole what is or is not easy for them. Everyone is different. Don’t assume what is easy for you is easy for others. Please don’t be so narrow minded
  9. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General What makes a good Adventure

But that thin plot can be very distracting
  10. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

I have no idea what you mean. You have to buy adventures of course.
  11. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

I do t think that is how it works. That being said, I imagine there is a reason only smaller creators are making smaller adventures
  12. Uni-the-Unicorn!

Pathfinder 2E I think I am giving up on PF2ER

We didn’t use a computer when we played 4e and I doubt you truly need for PF2e either
  13. Uni-the-Unicorn!

Pathfinder 2E I think I am giving up on PF2ER

Can you give the cliff notes version of what you like? Or maybe that is a different thread
  14. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

You simple go the all sources folder and the basic rules are there. Similarly, anything with the “basic” tag is from the basic rules and free to anyone. So if you look up the orc it’s “source” is listed as basic - that means anyone can look at / use it. Not sure how this will be handled with...
  15. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General (SPOILERS for Vecna: Eve of Ruin) Are My Standards Too High for Adventures?

Wouldn’t that result in even less quality and possibly less sales which mean you have to reduce quality even further?
  16. Uni-the-Unicorn!

    D&D General This cost $20

In what way? I would imagine pricing is strictly purview of the one doing the work. IDK, I think you have to work pretty hard to blame WotC for this. It is more on the mfr and you IMO. Unless your blaming WotC for making a popular product (D&D) that others are trying to profit from. I would...
  17. Uni-the-Unicorn!

    D&D General Op gaming resources

Yes, several on DMs Guild. However, I recommend waiting for @Upper_Krust upcoming Immortal Handbook

D&D 5E (2014) Players Handbook Expanded Cover Art

Then just say you don’t like it. Don’t say anyone with AI can do better. Be respectful of people’s hard work and talent.
  19. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D 5E (2014) Players Handbook Expanded Cover Art

I know, and my statement stands. Tyler Jacobson who did the cover art for the 2024 is a very talented and award winning artist. Comparing his hard work to AI is an insult. I expect better from the creative minds in these boards. I guess I shouldn’t have.
