    D&D General Dmg previews up

I think it's important they do have a glossary on their IP, covering everything from Acererak and Caramon to Sigil and Zuggtymoy since they always at least some of those characters and places in nearly every other book. It saves having to dig around into a bunch of wikis and books that might not...

    D&D General Dmg previews up

I think they might be in Chapter the DM's Toolbox. But I can see them being downplayed in the new book too.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Player’s Handbook is ‘Fastest Selling D&D Book Ever’

Where's the "WotC is not doing a good job promoting the new PHB" comment? It seems they've done at least an ok job of promoting it given this.

magic the gathering Netflix series taps Terry Matalas as new showrunner

Yes Secret Hideout has full creative control of the franchise, but they don't have financial control of the franchise. Paramount has the money and is the rights holder, they can say what goes ahead or doesn't because they're the ones paying Secret Hideout to do something. Matalas series might...

D&D 5E (2024) Are we going to see DMG previews?

There are ads for the PHB everywhere on social media, I know that ads are catered towards my habits, but I think they're hard to miss if the algorithms know you have some interest in D&D.

magic the gathering Netflix series taps Terry Matalas as new showrunner

The only alleged thing they seem to have against Kurtzman was over one of the JJ Abrams movies that they were both involved in. Why would they'd be angry at something he couldn't do with a Paramount (which has the final control) that wasn't going to approve such a series? And the sitcom, well it...

D&D 5E (2024) Buffing Int, Wis, and Cha (Mostly Int and Cha)

But in Pillars of Eternity I remember that Might the Strength equivalent attribute was a bonus to damage with everything: melee weapons, firearms and spells.

magic the gathering Netflix series taps Terry Matalas as new showrunner

I guess we can expect to have Todd Stashwick, Aaron Stanford and Kirk Acevedo involved in this series.

magic the gathering Netflix series taps Terry Matalas as new showrunner

That's a rumour, and he might still remain to 2031 with a contract extension according to other estimates, they are currently filming the Starfleet Academy series in Toronto which is very much a followup to Discovery in the 32nd century but with Discovery's Jet Reno and Voyager's Doctor as some...

magic the gathering Netflix series taps Terry Matalas as new showrunner

I'm still waiting for Terry Matalas to be announced for as the showrunner for Star Trek: Legacy, the spin-off of Picard, that everyone including Kurtzman wants to happen, but knows it won't happen for a while because of Paramounts' financial problems.

D&D 5E (2024) Buffing Int, Wis, and Cha (Mostly Int and Cha)

It could also be something like 1 or 2 + cha mod, and it can be decided if the minimum of attunement slots is 1 or 0.

D&D 5E (2024) Buffing Int, Wis, and Cha (Mostly Int and Cha)

Charisma affecting the number of magic items attuned. It could be something like 3 or charisma modifier, whichever one is higher.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 PHB/DMG/MM art/layout: like or dislike?

Of the campaign settings, Ravenloft and Eberron are the most "modern". Ravenloft has domains that are very much in the 1800s, and Eberron is vaguely in a Post World World I situation but maybe not technologically at WWI, there's magical telegrams, but not necessarily magical telephones.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 PHB/DMG/MM art/layout: like or dislike?

Guns exist in the PHB, and those are conceivably Matchlocks or Wheellocks, and aren't those tubes you just stuffed gunpowder in to shoot out a rock that they had for guns in the Medieval Age. Plate armor is from the Renaissance too, and it's in the PHB. But nowhere have they mentioned in the...

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 PHB/DMG/MM art/layout: like or dislike?

D&D is at least in the Renaissance when speaking of European historical periods, and pedantically the Renaissance is "Early Modern" according to some historians. Though it's beyond the Renaissance when it comes to "modernity", maybe a good comparison would be "like a Modern-day Ren Faire"

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 PHB/DMG/MM art/layout: like or dislike?

I really like that they have at least 1 picture for each subclass. Diversity in the pictures doesn't bother me, I'm not white. I actually like that there's some representation of certain ethnicities close to my own and they aren't all Monks, Samurai and Ninjas or even Humans, like the main...

D&D General Who are the iconic NPCs in each D&D campaign setting?

Dark Sun's iconic characters are: Rajaat who made Athas the way it is Borys the Dragon Dregoth a Sorcerer King Dracolich or something like that The Sorcerer Kings: Kalak, Tectuktitlay, Hamanu, Abalach-Re, Nibenay, Andropinis, Lalali-Puy and possible others. The main characters from the Prism...

D&D General Who are the iconic NPCs in each D&D campaign setting?

A bunch of the Torment characters were canonized into the setting through things like Dragon Magazine articles, Ravel comes to mind and so does Fall-From-Grace. And I certainly remember Ignus featured in the 5e book.

D&D General Who are the iconic NPCs in each D&D campaign setting?

Rowan Darkwood and Erin Montgomery were highlighted over the rest of the Factols as important characters in the Boxed Set. Rowan Darkwood ends up becoming the big campaign story arc villain. There's 1 picture of Tarsheva Longreach that I recall in the Planewalker's Handbook, but mostly she's...

D&D General Who are the iconic NPCs in each D&D campaign setting?

Planescape would be something like: Lady of Pain Then characters from Planescape: Torment like: The Nameless One, Morte, Dakkon, Annah, Fall-From-Grace Then some factols like: Rowan Darkwood, Erin Montgomery, Skall, Rhys Then some of the name narrators like: Tarsheva Longreach and Xanxost the...
