    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

That's possible. But from their twitter: That could mean nothing specifically D&D branded (so "5e-compatible" or some such), but a plain reading seems to be that they are on to other things. Thaumaturge.

    D&D 5E (2014) Dungeonscape no more?

I'm quoting me from May. Glad I went into it this way. I am not disappointed. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

I agree. It helps that it was my initial ruling, but I think it's the right one. :) I think going with the OA at disadvantage is a perfectly fine ruling/house rule. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

This was my argument, for sure. It's not the xorn's fault they can't attack him in his new square just below them. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

I don't mind this ruling. It's a very "say yes" DM move. Does anyone have a problem with only A getting the OA? It feels weird to me that the xorn is disappearing for all 3, but only 1 gets the OA. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) What technology do you own that you are willing to bring to the table?

Do dice towers count as technology? Because those save a remarkable amount of time over the course of a night. At least at my tables where dice rolled free seem to go to the craziest places. How about dry erase boards? Are those technology? Wine. Thauma-hic-turge.

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

Interesting, so a swipe at him just as he goes into the ground? I kind of like that. It at least gives the player a shot. There's no way the player would have hit short of a crit in that case, but it's interesting, nonetheless. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) [Rules Question] Opportunity Attacks and Total Cover

Saturday night, my players in the Ruins of Undermountain encountered a xorn. While they were fighting, a discussion about Opportunity Attacks arose. The xorn moved from a position where he was surrounded (PCs are A, B, C, and D; xorn is X): A B X C . . . D To a different position: A B .. C...

D&D 5E (2014) Deck of Many Things Preview

So is the preview backlash because this was established as a "reward" for certain tiers of donations? Because this seems (to me) to be exactly like the MM and PH(B) previews—just enough to whet the appetite, but not enough to feel sated. I'm curious, not attacking. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) Deck of Many Things Preview

It's here. I posted the art, but figured I'd leave the page with some rules on it at their site. EDIT: But we see the text for the Balance, Comet, and Donjon cards. Thaumaturge.

    D&D 5E (2014) Can you see when you're Blinded?

Argh! You've blinded me with (social) science! In studying this thread, I'm double blind. Thaumaturge.

    D&D 5E (2014) Can you see when you're Blinded?

I'm trying to see the other side of the argument, but my tears are blinding me. So I can't see. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) Is it possible to have a good-aligned final boss in a good campaign?

I'd forgotten about that one. That's a very good example of good vs good. Thaumaturge.

D&D 5E (2014) DM purposely gimping my Warlock

It is definitely a power-down for the classes that recharge things on a short rest (warlock and battlemaster). It's understandably frustrating that he didn't let you know of these rules before you made your character. I don't think they're completely unreasonable, however. I'd probably make a...

D&D 5E (2014) Is it possible to have a good-aligned final boss in a good campaign?

I think there are a lot of solutions that have a good-aligned character as the second to last boss--possession/influenced by evil (then you have to go after the evil influence), trying to save the world in mutually incompatible ways (but then you have to save the world), or misunderstanding...

D&D 5E (2014) How are you going to play 5e and why?

I game with friends, adult beverages, dice, more make-up than strictly necessary, a handmade cloak, slippers, and lots and lots of swearing. Edit to add why: Because we go to Fantasia with the gaming group we have, not the one we wish we had. Thaumaturge.

    D&D 5E (2014) Greyhawk?

You need to warn us before you post spit-take material. My screen was almost covered in adult beverage. Thauma-hic-turge.
