Oh yeah some of the storage devices are absolute junk. I’d prefer no device or even nylon if you want to skimp on the product there!

What Do You Think Of As "Modern TTRPG Mechanics"?

I think mechanics that focus on narrative are rather modern. Games in which are designed to give the player a little more choice, or decision points, rather than random luck of the roll feel modern. Degrees of success as opposed to straight binary results, etc.. I want to say the changing to...

D&D 3.x 3.5e Skill Rules Modified To Perfection?

On one hand, I love the rank up by using the skill, on the other I've been moving away from XP type systems because play tends to become about just spamming skills instead of engaging the game narratively/organically. Traveller: the iconic science fiction roleplaying game

That is an interesting idea and you could even link events between the main and secondary Traveller. For my last PoD game I made up a handful of NPCs to round out the ship crew in case somebody bought it and wanted to use one or at least to finish the session.

    Battletech Public Playtest Thread

The first packet seemed like the designer's pet interest disguised as a speed of play benefit. This second packet goes a long ways though for making the game a bit better. Immobile definition change aside; water isnt a death sentence anymore, getting up is easier, you can walk backwards down a...
