    Wood/Metal would be the best matches for Greenworth/Robinford as the former is the sort of "country in the city" area (lots of green spaces, more relaxed atmosphere, probably a lot of hobbits halflings/hin. Robinford is much more "big city" and I intend to make the streets in it on the grid...

    I like your ideas very much and attempted to incorporate them. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

    There are definitely tides, so Waveswith is definitely tidal though the Ell is not. It would certainly make sense to have it be akin to Venice with the "streets" being more like canals and the Grand Canal Stormonu mentioned being a failed project that, perhaps, gets half-measures of completion...

    I'll see what sort of scale I'll need to show them, but I definitely have ideas for it that would reflect the different parts. Your canal idea would definitely be part of it! :)

    For those keeping track, I've added a new map with the actual scale on it! I suppose the next part might be adding the Underground Lines or maybe streets?

    I mean, we've got Earth Ants, so Fire Ants are a possibility. Everything should be on the map, I hope ^^;

    When people don't comment it's hard to know, but I appreciate all the views :) As Brendan Byrd pointed out, Hackwark is where the Fire Rift is, opposite the Water Rift in Waveswith. It is very useful for both heating and smithing and may or may not have had something to do with the Great...

    It's cool :) There are similar themes, especially with connections to air that allow for interesting features. Well, I figure elemental rifts are somewhat bog-standard features on the world, common enough to largely be considered unusual but not unremarkable, especially since some were...

    To be honest, I thought the rifts would be cool, especially considering Sharn, which is what Cynelsa is based on. You and Stormonu seem to be the only other folks interested, so I'm happy to keep magic levels as they are while using as much mundane as necessary. All the rifts are tied to their...

    I mean, it's certainly possible. Maybe pneumatic tubes? I do not. I added in the elevations as best I could. I'll need to add in keys at some point. I did add in a couple names. The bay is called bitter in Welsh (I hope).

    Cynelsa has literal flying islands thanks to a connection to the Elemental Plane of Air, so Fantasy Physics does allow water to run in unique directions. ;) I'm really not sure what to, exactly, do with some of it. There are really practical reasons that these sort of rifts cause a headache...

    I'm working on those right now. There's a whole different thread about building cities thanks to lewpuls. I'm really not exactly sure where to go with things, or what might or might not make sense, especially considering I'm adding in fantastical elemental rifts.

    D&D General A Setting! A Setting!

    I've been trying to leave hints of things happening with the hopes folks might find them interesting and join in. The Great Burning is an event roughly equivalent to the Great London Fire or Great Chicago Fire. I was thinking that, by law, all structures in Ellindam proper must be made of...

    That makes sense. I added a fire one to Hackwark to keep the balance. I'll also probably need to make a map so this all makes sense. That would be easy to add. There's a lot of oddities in the Caverns and a Giant Earth Ant colony that spilled over from some unknown connection with Lambeth...

    D&D General A Setting! A Setting!

    After reading about some of the new stuff coming out, I thought I might try my hand again at setting creation. I've done it here before with mixed results, so I don't see any harm in trying again. This time I'm going to try for something more "modern". Somewhat based on the likes of Urban...
