Pathfinder 1E Are people still playing Pathfinder 1e?

I was referring to that first one (i.e. the first link you posted). The second one appears to be for PF2.

Pathfinder 1E Are people still playing Pathfinder 1e?

Fun fact, the following companions appear in the Kingmaker Bestiary (PF1 version), with two stat blocks each: Amiri, Ekundayo, Jubilost Narthropple, Linzi, Nok-Nok, Tristian, and Valerie.

RPG Archive: Star*Drive for D&D and Traveller

Just throwing out there that the TSR Archive website has an Alternity page, which has the year of publication for various products (albeit not the month).

    OSR BrOSR

Actually, that was two, since Williams had TSR release two separate Buck Rogers RPGs.

D&D 3.x 3rd Edition Revisited - Better play with the power of hindsight?

As a note, Dragon #363 had an article that back-converted several epic destinies to 3.5E.

D&D General When We Were Wizards: Review of the Completed Podcast!

For what it's worth, Lorraine Williams did offer a few quotes about her time at TSR in David M. Ewalt's 2013 book, Of Dice and Men (in chapter eleven, as I recall).

D&D General When We Were Wizards: Review of the Completed Podcast!

My understanding is that his next book is supposed to be about the early days of D&D 5E (with the working title being "Total Party Kill," based on his seminar at last year's Gen Con; and if that sounds ominous, it's because he talked about some of what he's researched, and it doesn't make WotC...

D&D General [rant]The conservatism of D&D fans is exhausting.

In that case, could you link to the post where you clarified your misstatement about D&D not being a very good sandbox game? I must have overlooked it.

D&D General [rant]The conservatism of D&D fans is exhausting.

So just to be as clear as possible, you misspoke when you said that "D&D is not a very good sandbox game," and that's not what you actually think?

GMing Mistakes You’ve Made in the Past

Don't pronounce "brazier" as "brassiere." All kidding aside, I once had a PC die near the beginning of a session. While the character's demise was due to bad luck on the dice, my mistake was not finding something for the player to do for the rest of the evening (since the party was too low to...

D&D 5E (2014) I feel like the surveys gaslit WotC about """"Backwards Compatibility""""

I'm a little surprised myself, but only a little; while I might be forgetting something, I can't recall ever seeing a set of Core Rulebooks openly refer to the usability of a prior edition. (I think the closest I can recall is the reprinted AD&D 2E Core Rulebooks including a sidebar that they...

D&D 5E (2024) WotC Announces April 22 Release For 2024 System Reference Documents

Reviewing this thread, I think the trajectory it's on isn't conducive to anything productive. Having made my points at length, I'll go ahead and bow out now.

D&D 5E (2024) WotC Announces April 22 Release For 2024 System Reference Documents

That's also a good jumping off point to mentioning that the OGL, CC-BY, and ORC aren't the only TTRPG licenses out there. There's also the ELF License, the AELF License, the Free Tabletop License, and quite a few others (though many are tied to specific games and systems).

D&D 5E (2024) WotC Announces April 22 Release For 2024 System Reference Documents

Which speaks to your not having been paying attention more than anything else. The insertion of "all" in your restatement of my point is a misrepresentation; there are always some people on the fringes who're using any given term incorrectly; see several of the people I've spoken with in this...

D&D 5E (2024) WotC Announces April 22 Release For 2024 System Reference Documents

This is a very weird take. I mean, from what I can tell you've essentially designated that a tiny subset of people are saying something and therefore it's true of the entire TTRPG community, while because I'm the only person in this thread disagreeing, I'm out of step with the community. So if...

D&D 5E (2024) WotC Announces April 22 Release For 2024 System Reference Documents

You yourself have noted that there are relevant differences between the OGL and the CC-SA. Hence, they cannot be equated in this context. I suppose that saying "notwithstanding their differences, they're the same" is a technical truism, but when you have to overtly state that you're ignoring the...

D&D 5E (2024) WotC Announces April 22 Release For 2024 System Reference Documents

The discussion hasn't been comparing the OGL to the CC-SA though, since that's not the license that the 5E SRDs have been shared under. In that regard, the CC-SA has only come up because people (well, one person) keeps trying to say that for purposes of comparison, you can say equate the OGL and...

D&D 5E (2024) WotC Announces April 22 Release For 2024 System Reference Documents

It seems like you kind of answered your own question there. Given that, I'm curious if you think there's no (meaningful) difference between the OGL and CC share-alike? Particularly given that you highlighted a notable point where they're dissimilar?
