Your top 5 sci-fi movies (and why)

I'm going to disagree here, but from a slightly different angle. I have several hobbies that I do for pleasure, that would be at least partially spoiled by doing them for income, but people keep telling me to set up an Etsy shop and take commissions. I've done a couple of commission jobs for...

New Star Trek Movie Coming From D&D Movie Creators

That's why I referred to it as "seasoning." You're right that trying to make the whole thing comedy would be a mistake. "Lower Decks" only works (For me, anyway) because of all the more serious Trek.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

There are a goodly number of historically accurate holster types that do leave the butt clear, but military holsters tended to have a protective flap. Sometimes people would just get a surplus holster and then cut the flap off. Which was also a thing people did. Or just stick the gun in their...

New Star Trek Movie Coming From D&D Movie Creators

"Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" would be a good example of Star Trek being seasoned with comedy. "Where can i find the nuklear wessels?"

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Quite. And Hollywood has had people (sometimes literally) running around in them for more than 100 years now.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

After making that Buscadero style holster and belt I now understand why it wasn't actually used in the Old West. It would be useless on a horse. You're never going to be able to walk quickly in one, let alone run, as that "gunfighter" leg tie is wildly impractical for daily use. Looks OK...

What Are You Listening To? - Reprise

It's very good. It gives the sort of behind the scenes stuff that reminds me of podcasts that were previously done by writer and actor friends in the Pacific Northwest. It has the kind of intimacy that I don't expect from people with their credentials, but is still in keeping with their public...

Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Season 3 Viewing (Spoilers)

That's a good question. Based on when it's supposed to happen, as it was in TOS, it would be a bit of a time skip to get to it. That said, they have played more than a little fast & loose with that timeline anyway.

Bursitis, alone, is bad enough. I wouldn't wish that double-tap on anyone.

Season 4 shooting ended in July and they've apparently just wrapped on Season 5. At least Anson Mount's stuff is in the can.

What Bit Of Fan Fic/Edit/Theory Made a Thing Better or even GREAT For You?

How about the theory that Kurt Russell's "Soldier" takes place in the "Bladerunner" universe?

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Interesting. I've also taken a bunch of motorcycle racing schools, had a fair bit of track time, and qualified for an amateur racing license as a result. The last time I took a school at the end of the day, when they were giving out the "top rider" awards, the lead instructor said, "We've never...
