D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

They don't go mad because Rand fixes things. The question is, how many have power equal to those men from the breaking. The answer is a lot. Just because we don't see them doing 9th level stuff, doesn't mean that they aren't doing it off screen or can't do it. I'm not convinced, but I'm also...

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

Meh. In my experience players have fun with just about any sort of module. They are just there to play and have a good time. It's pretty rare to find something that they just plain dislike.

Or the players can just agree to find a way for their characters to care about the situation in the module. They're heroes. It's not hard for players to come up with motivations for their PCs that would fit just about any scenario.

Says who? I think a bunch of people don't play the higher levels, because they don't know how to run/play them. Adventures would help both DMs and players learn how to do that.

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

It's not the only thing that works. I don't typically do world ending stuff, or run PCs as rulers, and yet my players have a good time and are challenged at high level play.

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

Sure it is. The male channelers of the breaking, without aid from women or items, created and destroyed mountain ranges, shifted oceans and rivers, destroyed cities, and more.

If you removed one adventure from those books, they'd sell just the same. There's no subsidizing going on. Instead of removing one adventure, they would be making it high level.

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

Not even close. There's a massive difference between a solo adventure for levels 13-20 that would only appeal to the small percentage, and an anthology book with 5 or 6 low/mid adventures and 1 high level adventure that would still appeal to just about everyone.

You're still talking about single adventures. You're talking oranges to my apples.

I never suggested a stand alone high level adventure, so I cut no one out.

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

Dragonmount was created by Lews Therin simply using all of his personal power. The breaking was just men using their power to drain oceans, move rivers, create mountains and more. The Angreal and Sa'angreal were needed to go beyond 9th level magic, but were not necessary for anything else...

What 5th level spell can call lightning that goes in many different directions along every corridor and room of a giant castle, killing only the enemy? What 5th level spell can raise a mountain or destroy one? What 5th level spell can remove the tops off of several hills at once? What 5th...

Absolutely right, which is why I am arguing it. You said it was closer to 1%. It's not. 7% is closer to 10% I wouldn't pay you to run any game. I do it for free every time I run a campaign. My campaigns go from level 3-16+, usually ending at 18th-20th.

7% is high level. High level starts at 13th.

On one of those charts of theirs 20th was at 2%. 13-20 was at 7%.

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

Mid level is for the non-channelers. In the books, Channelers often perform 9th level magics almost as soon as they start learning how to channel, because power level is established at birth, rather than learned.

D&D General Adventurers in Faerun-The Book of Low and Mid Level Adventures?

No it's not. D&D Beyond's campaign level spread image shows 13% of campaigns at levels 10-20, and their Campaigns by Tier of Play image says 90% stop by level 10, leaving 10% for high level. So their information shifts a bit, but at least 10% are at levels 10+.
