Tariffs: 'De Minimis' Exemption Ended, Affects Individual Game Orders Entering US

I’m very sorry to hear this. Irrespective of the ripple effects and direct issues for those that didn’t ask for it there are a lot of people out there gonna realise that… “When the Gods wish to punish us, they answer our prayers.”

    D&D 5E (2014) Skyrim supplement for D&D 5e

Strong bit of necromancy here. Crazy to see how many of these folks aren’t with us any more. 😮‍💨

Dungeons & Dragons Releases New Unearthed Arcana Subclasses, Strongly Hinting at Dark Sun

Lovely to hear from you! I was and still am a massive fan of the prism Pentad. Reading and listening to them many times over the years. It’s both a great story and it brought Dark Sun alive for me much more than the boxed set, and as I came to the setting with the revised edition I wasn’t...

D&D 5E (2014) Is there an adventure for this map?

Well done. I actually ran that adventure in 1e Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay aged 16 and one of my most vivid memories in gaming from that time (30 years ago) was my brother’s Trollslayer leaping from the high peak onto one of the gargoyles. The fall killed the gargoyle… the slayer survived of...

Tell Us About Your Pirate Campaign(s)

I’ve enjoyed a couple of Pirate campaigns. I was a player in @GuyBoy ’s Razor coast campaign that ran to conclusion. Level 1-11 IIRC in Pathfinder 1e. He ran it in a magical analogue of real world Caribbean and it was a lot of fun. Lots of exploration, some ship combat, interesting captains...

D&D General Reasons I Love the Dalelands as a Campaign Location

In case it is of interest… a list of modules from numerous sources. Courtesy of Reddit and the adventure database ARCH WOOD "Secrets of the Arch Wood" (Dungeon #121) - level 13, 14 pages, 3e. CORMANTHOR FOREST (GENERALLY) "Pool of Radiance: Attack on Myth Drannor" (module) - level 6, 99...

D&D General Reasons I Love the Dalelands as a Campaign Location

Sembian and Zhent Guilds Churches of Lathander, Oghma, Tyr, Tempus, Bane, Chauntea, Mystra Elminster, Colderan, Rhauntides… the odd Red Wizard Mercenary Bands and fledgeling dales You could definitely model this with Birthright. A number of clear adventures could ensure … recover the pendant of...

D&D General Reasons I Love the Dalelands as a Campaign Location

I do think the Forge of Fury adventure from 3e and Yawning Portal would make a brilliant stand in for the ruined dwarf kingdom of Tethyamar. A million times better than the attrocious map in Lords of Darkness. Are there any other adventures that would translate well?

To play, or not to play.....that is the question.

Welcome to the Forums. As an alternate system I play Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 4e. You’ll find I manage to crowbar references to it into any thread I can… including this one and I’ve posted quite a few threads about why I think it’s great. Though I didn’t stop playing D&D 5e. I run and play...

D&D General Why wouldn't you run a Dark Sun game?

I probably shouldn’t post because I absolutely would run it. In my experience, grimdark works best when there is also wry humour beneath it. The cannibal halflings, thieving elves, and bald dwarves gives me just enough subversion to riff off.

D&D General Reasons I Love the Dalelands as a Campaign Location

I’m hoping there will be a detailed base map in the new books. I think I saw a preview somewhere. I can use for an online campaign.

D&D General Reasons I Love the Dalelands as a Campaign Location

It’s a great idea. There is relatively little DMGuild stuff for the Dalelands. Two or three new products. I’ll definitely check out yours once it’s released. I think someone wrote an interesting looking adventure for Archendale with some dragons which I’m going to check out too. [Edit] Oh wow...

D&D General Reasons I Love the Dalelands as a Campaign Location

This is an awesome sourcebook and adventure location that received its own boxed set. It’s really worth a look for anyone looking for an Adventuring location. I particularly like the details like the missionaries of Lathander trying to rekindle a revival of the city and sponsoring adventuring...

D&D General Reasons I Love the Dalelands as a Campaign Location

Definitely. Interestingly I think the conflicts I mentioned above are largely untapped. Other than the repeated Zhent invasions of Daggerdale. Most of the products and ideas - Myth Drannor, the drow takeover of the Elven Court, Tethyamar, The Dales Council, Sembian Influence in Archenfale...

D&D General Reasons I Love the Dalelands as a Campaign Location

With 5.5e Adventures in the Forgotten Realms set to release in just a few months, I was thrilled to learn that the Dalelands will be one of the five featured regions. It feels like coming full circle—one of the first D&D products I ever bought was the AD&D Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, and...

Daggerheart "Description on Demand" a GM DON'T

I think you’ve over complicated it though. The player was asked to describe how a successful Toll the Dead spell killed an NPC. And because they didn’t say it in the way the DM wanted he reduced their loot for it. I don’t think it’s anymore complicated than that

Daggerheart "Description on Demand" a GM DON'T

Oooooo. The idea 💡 of getting XP for fighting against your motivation is pretty darn good too! I’m pinching that to add in.

Daggerheart "Description on Demand" a GM DON'T

It feels unfair because you weren’t expecting it. Somewhat arbitrary. At the end of my WFRP sessions I award a player an extra 50XP if they have acted in a way that fits their motivation. A one word description of what drives them… glory, anger, power, greed, kindness, learning etc. I’m not at...
