D&D 5E (2014) Dungeons of Drakkenheim: a dark fantasy sandbox in a ruined city

Or move all the factions inside the walls. Create a safe haven in the walls. Alter the haze slightly and run it as a Bloodborne’s Old Yarnham. You could even move the whole city to Ravenloft and give it even more horror element. How did the scholars of the Amethyst Order summon the meteor and...

D&D General Forgotten Realms Book preview from NYCC

Love Raiders. It was actually the first adventure I ever ran for the face to face group I DM for. As part of a one off at a 4 day ‘con’ at @GuyBoy ‘s house some 22 years ago. I didn’t realize there was a sequel though 😱 that is awesome! My plan is a Dalelands war/politics campaign The Zhents...

D&D General Forgotten Realms Books Tables of Contents

So basically the books are everything I hoped for and more. Excellent. Will be interesting to see where these sit in the range of 5e books released to date. It sounds like they have excised the lingering spirits of SCAG. Can wait to get my copies in a couple of weeks and for the Foundry release.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5th Edition Is Coming in 2026

Or as discussed earlier and in this thread Adventures in Ubersreik published by Cubicle 7 for WFRP 4e [Spoilers] The started set for 4e is a brilliant product that is largely edition agnostic.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5th Edition Is Coming in 2026

Honestly it depends. I personally think Core requires Winds of Magic and Up in Arms to play well. Unless you plan on getting those as well I would hold off and pay the extra $15 for the completed article. That said it is a beautiful and well made book so if you just want it so you have it, may...

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5th Edition Is Coming in 2026

If you do there are so many really good small original adventures released by C7. Worth checking out one of the Ubersreik Adventures books. Great for 4-6 hours of gaming each.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 5th Edition Is Coming in 2026

There is actually a small team of folks doing the programming and updating. There’s a hell of a lot though either way. Every new product for 5 ranges. Plus every time Foundry updates the 60 or so products released already need updating too. It’s a labour of love. You forget when you buy a...

D&D 5E (2024) Diseases no longer curable with lesser restoration

Similar contagions to the previous edition are in the DMG. There are three examples and two of them (Sewer Plague for instance) key off Exhaustion not Poisoned. They’re separate to curses.

D&D 5E (2024) Diseases no longer curable with lesser restoration

So interesting spin off from my medicine thread. Magical diseases, despite very much being a thing in the game are no longer curable with lesser restoration. Only greater restoration will cure the exhaustion which most of the seem to key off, which makes curing diseases much harder than before...

    D&D 5E (2024) Rank 5e skills from most useful (1) to least useful (18)

You’re right I don’t think it would change. I put them in the order folks listed them. If nothing else it was the order you thought of them.

D&D 5E (2024) Improving Medicine - one of the least loved skills.

I like it. Another option could be make a medicine check when someone spends HD to recover hp. If successful they spend one less HD. For every 5 points of success they save an additional HD.

You could give more details than blooded…. But yes I do the same as you!

D&D 5E (2024) Improving Medicine - one of the least loved skills.

I agree. In gritty health variants when HP come back less often it would be much more useful. I do think the change to the restoration spells are a game changer. Not being able to magically cure disease is a big change. Of course only if disease is a thing in the game.

D&D 5E (2024) Improving Medicine - one of the least loved skills.

My previous thread D&D 5E (2024) - Rank 5e skills from most useful (1) to least useful (18) generated a some discussion and a bit of disagreement but one thing that was almost unanimous was the feeling that Medicine and Performance were the two least used/useful skills in D&D 5E (2024). I find...

    D&D 5E (2024) Rank 5e skills from most useful (1) to least useful (18)

Thanks folks so much for engaging with the topic. So a quick and dirty summary of the data shared. With this huge sample of 16. I've assigned each skill a number between 1 and 18 depending on each poster's ranking. Apologies to the two posters that only ranked some of the skills. I've removed...

D&D 5E (2014) Dungeons of Drakkenheim: a dark fantasy sandbox in a ruined city

Good detailed discussion of the work. The only thing I would take issue with is the campaign described as low-magic. Our group is about half way through. They have already encountered several mid to high level casters. There are magic items for sale. There are several fantastical NPCs. There...
