Repeating myself? I've thought about this more. I don't want something as complex as 3.x. I want a class that can upscale things, by consuming their own lifeforce (hit die?). Possibly crystals or something else, but not a defiler (though maybe this is the chassis for that?). I want one...

I think the odds are high, actually. They are going to have to release something in the next 5 or so years before the next version of the game. I'm really curious what we're going to get in 2026 and 27, as the new leaders really take charge. I'm hoping for creativity and not nostalgia.

I agree. A few more unique spells would be great. I'm warming up to this version a lot. Might not be exactly what I want, but it isn't hard to see what I want from where they are.

I think less powers, but they can be powered up with points or dice or something. I think. I'll admit, I'm not in the mood for the complexity of the past, even if I'm nostalgic for it. I posted in the main thread I wanted points, but I'm not sure that's actually true. Really, really, good...

what would you change for the abilities/spells/whatever if your game didn't have opportunity attacks?

I'm excited! I'm giving it all 5s so we keep going on the development. I'd prefer a different chassis for the class, like power points...but I could live with this.

Got the near final PDFs today. I doubt I'll ever play it, but I plan to steal parts, and I enjoy reading their sidebars and advice.

Well, we finished season 3 last night. I didn't see how they could actually do 13 seasons or whatever....but I thought we'd get 2-3 more. I'm going to be angry for a day or two, then I'll just shrug and enjoy what we got. For a tiny, tiny, tiny, moment I thought about trying to read the books...

That was it. Amazon just cancelled the show.

Too late. They would only be backing out to save their business. They've made it clear they don't care who they work with.

Now it's too late. They've shown that they don't actually care about not working with bad people. Any change now is just about saving the company and has nothing to do with right and wrong.

I use a variant of fear and hope sometimes for initiative in my 5e game. I'll read the srd to see how I feel about the rules, but that's more curiosity than likelihood of playing it.

That's nice. We have a game we like. We're busy. I have a lot of other things I do. I've never understood the need to find a new game all the time. For me it's about being with friends more than anything else .
