    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook reveal: "New Bard"

Agreed, but WotC has apparently decided that Fighting Styles are not worth half a feat anymore.

D&D General Should ranger get a companion as its 'signature' feature?

It's a very common tale, but it's not the predominant Ranger story. It's maybe 1/3 of Ranger stories…

    D&D 5E (2024) More Dragon Redesign Clues

I've been getting mixed messages when I'm on the site and in articles. The check out section for the digital bundle says it but then articles say only the physical+digital. I want you to be right, very much so! I want that artbook, but not so much that I'm buying a fourth physical trio of 5e...

D&D 5E (2024) What is the 2024 Bard Power Source?

    So, Primal? Arcane? Divine?

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook reveal: "New Bard"

Maybe a spot for a feat choice?

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook reveal: "New Bard"

Frostbite, Lightning Lure, Ray of Frost, Gust, Mold Earth, Thorn Whip, True Strike, Blade Ward, or Booming Blade would all be decent options if available.

    D&D 5E (2024) Class Iconic Art in the 2024 Player's Handbook

I lean Genasi into their Genie origins a bit more. Storm Genasi and the Abyssal and Dark Sun Genasi were cool too, but I think it becomes complicated when you want to express so many different human+elemental species as player options (and make Giants specifically elemental as D&D does).

    D&D 5E (2024) More Dragon Redesign Clues

The site is nebulous on that. Some pages say it's for both bundles, others that it's ONLY for the digital+physical bundle. The videos promote the d+p bundle presumably because they really want to edge out the middle-man and sell direct to consumer, at least for the standard covers. As someone...

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook reveal: "New Bard"

I guess in that regards the College of Swords is a very specific call back to the knife-eating performer, the Blade kit of 2e. College of Valour is the Bardic Warlord.

D&D 5E (2024) What is the 2024 Bard Power Source?

    So, Primal Power Source?

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook reveal: "New Bard"

My issue with that is that it pigeon-holes College of Valour into Sword-Bard. Bow is a very viable Valour option, as are other weapons. It's a broader concept.

    D&D 5E (2024) 2024 Player's Handbook reveal: "New Bard"

I mean, it looks more like Bladesinger Wizard and Eldritch Knight Fighter, but doesn't have to be about Swords. So in this regards its its own fix for v5.0-5.1 Valour.

D&D General The Greyhawk Pantheon: How Greyhawk Approaches Deities (& Demigods)

This is very interesting, because it's essentially the same philosophy as PoLand / Nerath / Nentir Vale campaigns – take the rough sketches and make it completely your own. They divorced it from Greyhawk but included classic modules in the game world depicted on the map from Conquest of Nerath...

    D&D 5E (2024) Class Iconic Art in the 2024 Player's Handbook

I disagree with some of the OP's definitions of male/female or species assignments. A bunch are androgynous, for example. But the art looks great.

D&D 5E (2014) Some adventure cover "mock-ups", which do you like most?

None of them, because Generative AI doesn't create art, it steals other people's IP.

D&D General Should ranger get a companion as its 'signature' feature?

Invocations is actually an interesting idea. I've always thought that the 4e Shaman should be a Warlock subclass and invocation kit set. Ranger invocations or something like it for specialized builds is an interesting concept. I do wonder how this aligns with the philosophy of the Warlock being...

    D&D 5E (2024) Could we get a Bloomburrow (Redwall) setting for 5.24?

Duskmourn is sorta like Strange Things but in a mixture of the Backrooms, Luigi's Mansion, and Ghostbusters. Bloomburrow would be a very interesting campaign setting, but require completely rebalancing characters and species becomes far more important for your power set than your class… it's...

D&D General Should ranger get a companion as its 'signature' feature?

This. My concern is that generalist character archetypes get shafted when you push towards highly specialized archetypes. Look at the last UA version of the Psion – it was essentially a d8 Hit Die and some proficiencies, as a carrying chassis for 4 otherwise unrelated Psionic subclasses. Or look...
