D&D 5E (2024) No way to end Rage on your turn with 2024 rules?

I think you meant get them surrounded so they can showoff how ridiculously awesome and tanky they are. Seriously, its literally the entire point of the class to me. You can just run into danger and not give a crap because you are just that tanky and awesome.

D&D 5E (2024) No way to end Rage on your turn with 2024 rules?

The quote: "The Rage lasts until the end of your next turn, and it ends early if you don Heavy Armor or have the Incapacitated condition. If your Rage is still active on your next turn, you can extend the Rage for another round by doing one or more of the following" This sentence gives the...

D&D 5E (2024) No way to end Rage on your turn with 2024 rules?

You opened the door for "others may interpret it differently". And while in the natural language of 5e there are certainly big honking grey areas....there is no grey in the words "can" and "must" in 5e language. If people start interpreting a can statement as a must statement, that creates a...

    Are Ghosts Real? (a poll)

I am always reminded of crop circles when considering "fringe beliefs". For a long time people could not explain crop circles. Experts would come out and say it had to be some weird freezing or unfreezing thing, and of course aliens were assumed". All of that lingered for years....until a group...

D&D 5E (2024) No way to end Rage on your turn with 2024 rules?

If people start interpreting CAN as MUST, that is going to create a whole nest of problems in 5e. Lots of places where CAN is used, and is intended to be voluntary.

D&D General Dnd is a 10th level game, how's the balance?

https://www.enworld.org/threads/70-of-games-end-at-lvl-7.714552/ So the link above reminds us that 2019 playtest data reveals what a lot of us already suspected, that for the vast majority of groups, 10th level is the real capstone. 7th and 8th levels are often the endpoint, and high levels is...

Spoilers I saw Happy Gilmore 2; so now you dont have to.

It was another disposable netflix movie like the other dozen that have been cranked out lately. I had a few laughs, had a couple hours of entertainment, and I will probably forget all about it in a few months.

D&D General How many healing potions do you give your party?

So magic items tend to be more limited in 5e....but healing potions are often a special case. So how many healing potions do you tend to give your party? (see poll above). Also curious what types of healing potions you often give them.

Avatar: Fire and Ash | Official Trailer

hehe going from "way of water" to "fire and ash". Sounds like we are taking it up a notch!! So the trailer suggests that there are Navi that don't believe in Eywa, and are a more destructive faction on the world. I wonder if that will actually be the main villain instead of humans this time?

D&D 5E (2024) Effects that kill you at 0 hp

I'll admit that until you showed me this....I had always assumed AL DMs had to run the adventurers as is. I figured that was the point, ensuring there was a consistent experience so players could take a character from city to city or session to session and get a mostly consistent experience.

D&D General 70% Of Games End At Lvl 7?

Taking in this data, the thing that is always interesting to see is how much time is spent on forums just like this debating levels that don't exist for 95% of games. 11th level is basically 20th for most groups, a level maybe you get to once in a blue moon, and its more of a "maybe one day"...

D&D General 70% Of Games End At Lvl 7?

As others have noted later in the thread, while handling power scaling is A reason that a campaign might falter, its more the minority. The simple truth is, high level campaigns usually take a lot of IRL time. Campaigns die by attrition, or because the campaign is resolved successfully earlier...

    Spoilers Fantastic Four (Spoilers)

Here’s the spoiler thread for fantastic four. Overall I quite enjoyed this one, definately best FF movie by far, and on the marvel list I would rank it above average (not the top of marvel but above the curve and definately above most phase 4-5 movies). The alternate earth was interesting not...

https://www.levelup5e.com/news/lets-look-at-horde-monsters Ok reading the article, just making sure I understand how to use horde monsters appropriately with the encounter building guidelines. Ok so 4 level 15 PCs get a hard encounter budget of 30. That is two standard CR 15 monsters. Since...
