What I really want is When Gravity Fails, but only if it’s done well. At the moment, I’m drooling over the possibilities for Straylight.

I know. I’m talking about it as a story viewed now. There’s a bunch of stuff there that’s still quite distinctive and some likely to resonate with a particular freshness now, regardless of what’s been on screen before.

I don’t feel like there’s any need for it to be radical. It’s an exciting story against a cool backdrop, and a reminder that the future isn’t always an impenetrable black box.
