    GURPS 4th Edition Revised Announced

Sure, but for clarification: So you needn't worry about falling out of the air when you fly the friendly skies. Also, Piloting says it is used for take-offs and landings, not every time you take off or land.

    GURPS 4th Edition Revised Announced

Tracking in a desert is hard. Correctly simulating that with respect to a normal skilled person is a feature. If you have Tracking-16, you can track people in the desert pretty easily, because you are a very skilled person. Range penalties correctly reflect that a somewhat skilled person is...

Do you use "voice acting" when you play?

I do. I enjoy it, I think other people enjoy it, but I've definitely annoyed some people over the years. I played in an Adventurer's League game at a game store where I gave my female human fighter would I would describe as Matthew McConaughey's accent by way of Holly Hunter. During the break, a...

    GURPS 4th Edition Revised Announced

That's not at all how GURPS works. You have four core attributes, which bounce around a very limited range for normal people in non-superheroic campaign. Characters are defined more individually by their Advantages and Skills. Armors often have different DR against different attack types, and...

D&D 5E (2014) Thoughts on bonus action potions?

... because? Anyway, here's a video of Meryl Streep drinking a potion in 3 seconds.

D&D 5E (2014) Thoughts on bonus action potions?

We're talking about a pouch with magical potions in it, not a parent of three kids' diaper bag.

How is the risk substantially different than drawing a weapon, or nocking an arrow?

D&D 5E (2014) Thoughts on bonus action potions?

Clearly, you've never seen me fight. :) I'm a little past my prime, but I assure you I can manipulate an object while doing other stuff. In fact, fencing would be more difficult, because you are fully engaged with one opponent, but in a fray, there is distance, and opportunities.

D&D 5E (2014) Thoughts on bonus action potions?

I can definitely get a bottle out of my belt and drink it while actively fighting.

Even if it took, say, seven seconds, I just don't think it's something that would consume your entire concentration.

AD&D 2E Can anyone give me a rundown on Red Steel and other obscure D&D settings not mentioned in this video?

There is a forum dedicated to out of print settings, especially old TSR ones, which has a very strong community and library around Mystara in general and Red Steel specifically.

D&D 5E (2014) Thoughts on bonus action potions?

I looked up some examples on Amazon, and a 1 oz perfume bottle weighs about 5 ounces. So it is actually accurate for ounce of liquid in a bottle to weigh half a pound.

Tell me about VtM when it started

It was huge. It brought in a lot of club kids. Also, a lot of people who read Ravenloft books but didn't play a lot of D&D. It brought a lot of non-gamers to the table, as well as feeding into LARP groups. Not just Vampire LARP, but lots of Vampire cosplayers showing up at Amtgard and such. It...

How Do You Like Your Steak?

I'm mostly a medium rare eater, most cuts, most of the time. I like sirloin a little closer to medium. Stuff like fajita, steak delmonico, burgers, and so forth should always be well to break down the connective tissue. Anyone who makes pretentious claims about how steak should never be well 1)...
