Watching the first episode of this now. It’s better than I expected! Very Robin of Sherwood but with a bigger budget and (unfortunately) a Robin with a modern haircut, who is the weak point and is a total wet blanket. But the rest of it makes up for him.

What happens with things like Star Wars, where Greedo, Jabba, etc. are subtitled (but not R2D2--why?) and the humans are not?

I love this idea. I'm watching for the advice and the final implementation.

They ‘financed’ them in the sense that they paid handsomely for a distribution deal which was used to bolster the show’s budget. The BBC is not in the habit of selling its IP. “BBC sells important cultural IP to American corporation” would be bigger than Brexit.
