    D&D 5E (2024) What should the 15th Class be?

The Monster Hunter from Grim Hollow is neat in this regard .... but not really needed IMO.

    D&D 5E (2024) What should the 15th Class be?

Do we really need another one of these when we have Bladelocks, Bladesingers, Valor Bards, Eldritch Knights and Multiple Artificer subclasses?

    D&D 5E (2024) The Great Wizard Extinction.

I would not say they are underpowered, especially the way Tasha's Laughter was buffed.

    D&D 5E (2024) The Great Wizard Extinction.

Healing is a lot more powerful in the 2024 Cleric.

    D&D 5E (2024) The Great Wizard Extinction.

I think the Wizard is pretty powerful. If you ranked all the classes from 1-13 at every single level from 1-20 I think the Wizard would have the best average ranking, while probably never being the most powerful class at any given level. That said, being powerful does not make people want to...

    D&D 5E (2024) What should the 15th Class be?

Personally, I think we have too many classes already. If it were up to me I would make Artificer a Rogue subclass and Psion, Sorcerer and Warlock Wizard Subclasses make Warlord a Cleric subclass and Shaman a Druid subclass.

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

The DM in question uses Fade away. My mistake in this entire thread was trying to reason with unreasonable people, when instead of pointing out what works in my experience and what the DMG offers as 'options' I should have just said "the DM uses Fade away so nothing else matters".

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

Yes there are pictures in the rulebooks! Likewise there is a paragraph on Fade away is in the rulebooks I am no longer saying they are rules and have't been for about 8 postss now because of your strawman. Ok whatever. All the words in the DMG are mentioned in the rules though, whether...

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

What rule are you talking about here? The post I replied to did not mention any specific rule.

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

Sure it is within the purview, but it does not mean those other rules don't exist. For example extra attack is a rule which allows Fighters (and others) to make 2 attacks when they take the attack action at 5th level. A DM can overide that and say no one can make more than one attack, but that...

D&D 5E (2014) Best Online Platform for D&D Campaign Management?

I would use Discord for this.

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

Sure but that is FUNDAMENTALLY different than saying a rule does not exist. I am not disconnected with this at all. Those disconnected are those stating that it is not mentioned in the rules. Moreover, the other disconnect here is this IS the way the DM we are talking about does it, so how...

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

It is "mentioned" in the rules, not "a rule" ... "the rules". The DMG is one of the rulebooks and Fade away is "mentioned" in there. Yes it does because the rulebooks are the rules. Just like Drizzt is mentioned in the 2014 rules (in the PHB specifically). Ok it is correct then and no...

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

If he is not there and is not going to let anyone play his character then it is going to kill him. It does in the only game that is relevant to this thread.

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

But if the DM does it that way, so you have no choice, it is the only correct way. Your feelings and logic on the subject are irrelevant. They don't matter because the DM does it that way and the DM decision is prime ..... AND on top of this it is "mentioned" in the rules. You keep going...

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

And then going on to say it is "nonsensical", "illogical" "rediculous" ... If you can't admit you are wrong how about you just say the following for the record: "Fade away is a great way to do it, a lot of tables do it that way and it is even one of the recommended options in the DMG"

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

Yeah exactly, you would kill a character (or if you want to be technical possibly kill a character) because he missed a session.

    D&D 5E (2024) How can I do a Charisma-Investigation (or a Strength/Dexterity-Investigation if I can't use Charisma) to find a secret door?

BUT THIS IS THE WAY THE DM IN THE CAMPAIGN THIS THREAD IS ABOUT DOES IT AND YOU KNEW THAT BEFORE YOU STARTED COMPLAINING ABOUT IT! That is what stated this whole discussion - you telling me that we (including the DM in the game) were doing it wrong!
