I don't know why they provided stats other than for potential fights with PC's, but at the very least, it provides some objective way to judge relative strength/power among deities. Should mortals even be able to fight deities? Don't get me started....

I think Rule 0 should be defined at Session 0. If everyone at the table agrees to the rules at session 0, rule zero will come naturally.

I'll just say I disagree with the 2024 DMG re: deities, and leave it at that. One thing that I like about 5E is that (with few exceptions) it doesn't give stat blocks to deities. While I did enjoy reading Deities and Demigods as a kid, IMO, gods should be several orders of magnitude in power...

IMO, as long as the monsters can fly, or at least easily target a flying pc, level isn't much of an issue.

I never said that I doubted his 30-40 person claim. I simply pointed out that a person in his position is likely to have many "friends" who want to play with him.

I'm certain that he has at least 30-40 "friends" who want to play D&D with him for face-time and brown nosing. This isn't usual. When you have money power and influence, there is usually an ample supply of people willing to do whatever it takes to win your favor.
