I find it odd that some players would want their characters to be immune from death yet 5E has the most death friendly Ress spells of any edition. Revivify is a 3rd level cleric spells and by the time heroes are that level 300GP is fairly trivial. Plus if your DM is so set on keeping them...

I could have worded it better. "The players" instead of "The heroes".

They aren't real and have no actual feelings, so I'm not really worried if the character is enjoying playing the Safe Version of D&D.

If you roll up the penultimate boss fight to wrap up saving the world and the heroes know they could just stand there and not die would take all the fun out of it for me.

Evil Dead for 5E? WHY Edit: It adds ED flavor to you're game. It's not trying to be an Evil Dead RPG (sort of). I guess I can't fault that since I backed an "80s flavor" supplement book.

Loved the D&D and 40K one. I don’t care about the others (currently available to watch) as franchises. Some really odd choices IMO. Looking forward to Mega Man though.

Old School is fine, just start them at like level 3 or 4 (worth of Fighter XP). The issue is when one longsword hit can kill you. It's why AC is so important. You actually are hard to hit. When you have 20 AC and the boss monster has +5 to hit. It still needs a 15 or better to hit you...

I left 5E for OSE and man did I love the decrease in Player Power Level.... until they started dropping like flies. Which to be fair, Levels 1-3 are the test by fire. Players are supposed to act wise and strategic, not just rush into a room knowing the have a 90% chance of survival. Even...
