I've been reading (audiobook) The Wandering Inn series and it's AMAZING. I haven't liked series like this in over 20 years. Listen to the audiobook series, the narrator is next fricking level.

Combat time eats Real Time Torches. Combat in game is like 30 seconds in Torch Time its like 20 minutes or more. It evens out.

Yes, Ive ran the original. and 5E is a vastly different animal than Basic/AD&D. Plus modern WotC has more misses than hits when it comes to well designed adventures. Although since they are basically updating a classic, perhaps ill be surprised
