    D&D Mini Jackpot!

Nice catch! I really want a gelatinous cube, but it's so damn expensive :.-( I have a roper from the Against the Giants set, and I really like it. And as for quality, don't you guys think the quality has improved in Legendary Evils and Savage Encounters? Those two sets were nice. Dangerous...

    Underdark. Woah.

Underwild sounds kinda cool. Actually, it struck me several times when I read Underdark, how amazingly goofy the word "Shadowdark" really is. I wonder who at WoTC came up with that.

    Underdark. Woah.

Inspiring material, great art (except the last chapter heading), creepy atmosphere, incredible cover. Great book.

    DDXP 2010 News and Updates

I think this was mildly disappointing. The one upper was Gamma World, but it sucks that Streets of Shadow was cancelled, and i'll definately pass on Castle Ravenloft, seeing as the minis are unpainted (I would hate playing with a mix of painted and non-painted minis). Also, the lack of a...

    Underdark - anyone has it?

Ok, this just got upgraded to a "must-buy". (I already thought the art gallery was very cool, very evocative and "alien-looking" in a way that seemed to fit the Underdark.)

    Immediate reactions / interrupts

Ok, so does that mean that in the case of the example in my OP, if the action was an reaction instead of an interrupt, the character would not be able to shift, becase he/she would be prone?

    Immediate reactions / interrupts

How would you resolve this: A monster attacks and hits a character with a an ability that slides the character two squares and makes him/her fall prone. However, the character responds by activating an immediate interrupt that allows him/her to shift 4 squares. What is resolved first? And if the...

Death and Dying + coup de grace revisited

Are we playing the same game? Last session, our defender dropped to 0 and got right back into the cleric's next round like 7-8 times (due to concecrated ground and administering healing potions, the defender also had the boundless endurence stance activated, so he regenerated 6 hit points per...

Death and Dying + coup de grace revisited

I was recently reading this thread, and wanted to post the house rule that Destil came up with, just because I'm curious of how people think it might change the game (for better or worse). The house rule is as follows: Also, a second house rule I wanted to post (that isn't shamelessly stolen...

Whats so special about the Far Realm?

I'm not thinking about the tentacled appearence and Lovecraftian background, but rather its motivations. Usually, these are described as being unfathomable. However, very often it just boils down to "destroy the universe". This is very boring, IMHO, and it makes the star-creatures a bit too...

Is a dying character still bloodied?

See the title. A player in my campaign was wondering, since he is considering taking the lvl 5 cleric power Consecrated Ground. Also, a follow-up question: A fighter has activated a stance (Boundless Endurance). In the battle, he was fighting against a powerful dwarven fighter-type, and a...

    Dark Sun Cover Poll

The old cover is far better than the new one. No doubt about that. The objections to the new cover art is the first thing I wrote about in the other thread about Dark Sun when the DS product appeared in the WoTC product catalogues.

More Dark SUn tidbits by Rich Baker

I like that Dark Sun gets its own creature catalogue, but I don't understand why WoTC couldn't just increase the page count by 16 pages and make it a hardcover. What I really dislike, however, the cover of the Campaign Setting book. I remember when they unveiled the cover of (what was supposed...

Issues with the Monster Builder (D&DI)

I subscribed to D&D Insider recently and have spent the better part of the last week downloading and reading various Dungeon and Dragon issues. The character builder is amazing and didnt disappoint (though to be fair, I already knew how awesome it was because of the downloadable demo). The...

    Thank You

Question about the D&DI Character Builder

I'm considering subscribing to D&D Insider, but before i make up my mind, I would like to know if I can share the full version of the character builder with the rest of my group, or does everyone have to subscribe in order to use the character builder? Also, how would you rate the monster builder?
