    Netheril's Fall - First Impressions

I think Paul's point was that these facts aren't lost knowledge. Anyone who looks into it can easily discover which side the Soviets fought on in WW2 or can easily look up when the Berlin Wall fell. Though seeing as Faerun doesn't have an easily accessible internet it makes more sense that...

    Netheril's Fall - First Impressions

I mean I don't really have a strong opinion either way, but we're also talking about 'new' species that's just a revamp (pun not intended) of an existing lineage option. That would factor into my decision making if I were considering these DLCs.

D&D General Monster Manual Expanded 2024

Honestly If I were in your position I'm not sure I'd bother with the tedium. You've already revised the book once, after all! Still, good luck. These are still some of my favorite products on the Guild.

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

I mean he wasn't at full when he got hit. It wouldn't have killed him if he had been.

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

Bionoids are basically Guyvers and Spirit Warriors are knock offs of an obscure anime called Aura Battler Dunbine.

Level 12, and no they just got unlucky. One of them ate a disintegrate that did like 87 damage. He was the wizard, and the player left the campaign shortly after, so they went into the boss fight a man down. They still won.

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

Honestly the lack of ship battle rules isn't even the most frustrating part to me. If you give it any real depth then you're basically adding a whole other game on top of the game, and that's not something that interests many players. What really bothers me is all the setting elements excluded...

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

I just don't think that bears up. I once killed three characters in a single adventure, two in the same boss fight, in an adventure that wasn't supposed to be that difficult. They are, though? That's exactly what they did in 4E. Did you mean to type 'now' instead of 'not'?

New Unearthed Arcana Brings Back Five Subclasses

You're both right. The insistence on all subclasses following a naming scheme is a needless albatross around the neck, but Warrior of Intoxication is particularly bad. I'd go with Warrior of the Drunken Fist. Or just forget about the change and call it Way of the Drunken Master again.

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

They didn't change races mechanically, just gave them their Athasian lore. Classes, they basically said no Divine Classes are allowed and all Arcane casters got a special ability that let them choose to defile to make their spells more powerful. Since 4E classes are already super modular with...

D&D General How Was Your Last Session?

Last session was earlier today. Spent some time arguing with the fighter-ranger about whether to rescue his girlfriend or our group patron, but then we got attacked by servants of Zenobaal. One of them was an arclight phoenix... at least until it failed its save against my bard's polymorph and...

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

If they have no plans for Dark Sun then why give the Psion class two passes and test a bunch of blatant Dark Sun subclasses. This feels like the people who kept insisting the Switch 2 wasn't real.

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

Depends on the week, but there are accounts that just flood the service with cheap or PWYW products that are largely if not entirely AI generated. There's settings in the interface to hide AI-generated stuff, but that only works if the creators bother to specify AI was used.

D&D General Explain 5(.5)e to me

What does that even mean? That's how spells work too, unless you actually require players to say magic words and provide material components to cast a spell.

Wizards of the Coast Re-Registers Dark Sun With USPTO

...A few fans are producing better content. A bunch more are just generating slop with Chat GPT and posting it verbatim to the Guild.

It was also by designer accounts a hasty addition to the product that was originally unrelated to Baldur's Gate. Which is presumably why the BG portions of the adventure feel so disjointed.

D&D General Do you think we might start to see more varied Tiefling art to match the PHB descriptions?

I had an Abyssal tiefling NPC in one of my campaigns long before the 2024 books. She was Chasme descended so she had antenna and cricket-like legs. ...unfortunately the PCs killed her.

Dhampir and Other Species To Be Included in Astarion's Book of Hungers

You certainly sounded flippant. Better consumer protections is the ideal, but that requires legislatures to both care and actually act on it. Releasing products as PDF (or whatever format is up to your standards of modernity) is trivially easy to produce and something that could be provided at...
