True. Use case is a bit different. (IE Suggestion doesn't work if a creature is immune to Charm or doesn't speak the language you suggested in)

Polymorph and Banishment would be problems. Polymorphing yourself into a big threat is risky because any damage can end it. Banishment goes without saying; without concentration the spell always lasts the entire duration. A single failed save puts an extraplanar creature out of the fight.

Incidentally, the green hag art in the new MM is great. Gnarly looking creatures, throwing an eye in a bloody cauldron. Also she's holding a bag dripping blood.

The new Solar is crazy. Basically an at-will Power Word Kill but with 600 feet of range, and its melee attack has a ranged option. Plus it gets Legendary Resistances, which it had none of in the 2014 rules.

5e races are technically compatible with A5E. You just don't get a Culture if you pick a race/species from a non-A5E source.
