[UPDATED] RAGE OF DEMONS! New D&D Storyline Features Drizzt, Underdark, & Demon Lords!

There's so much angst for Drizzt in this thread, it reads like a page of his journal. Oh, the irony! Do we know who's designing the adventure? Seeing as Kobold and Sasquatch did the last two, I'm assuming this one will be freelanced as well?

[UPDATED] Dragon+: An Official D&D iOS App

I like it. I admit, the Elemental Evil article is a tad spoilerific, but I'm not sure how else you talk about it without saying pretty much nothing at all.

[UPDATED] Sean K Reynolds just rehired by WotC

Silver Marches is probably my favourite 3e era book. I'm using it in my current campaign, in fact. I'd love to see more books like it.

D&D 5E (2014) Down to six pages of prep work

I don't use it as much as I did, and back in the 3e days, I used dedicated RPG software. But now it's basically Evernote for notes and the pdf. I don;t do a whole lot of prep, as my games are more sandboxy, so I'm not always sure what's going to happen. Your method looks like it would work fine.

[UPDATED] Dragon+: An Official D&D iOS App

Well, it's both, but we'd have to be pedants to argue that. :)

D&D 5E (2014) Down to six pages of prep work

I've GMed using a laptop for over 15 years, but I've never used just the laptop. I prefer using actual rulebooks during play, and use the laptop for notes, tracking things, etc.

[UPDATED] Dragon+: An Official D&D iOS App

Wow, this thread has really turned into great example of pedanticism. Where's my popcorn? It might be more interesting to count kernels.

Unearthed Arcana Waterborne Adventures: New from Unearthed Arcana

Minigiant took the Con bonus instead of Int? :D It's the Krynn minotaur. They aren't as beefy as the monsters, as the article says. That's right, I wrote beefy. You didn't ask, "Where's the beef?" so I took possession of the pun. Ya snooze, ya lose, what can I say?

Horns are a weapon. Hey, I might be a minotaur and not know it... :)

Unearthed Arcana Waterborne Adventures: New from Unearthed Arcana

I, for one, am very pleased with the different options for existing classes over completely different classes. I don't really have an balance thoughts. Balance isn't an issue with me unless it's incredibly flagrant.

No, that's not how iOS apps work.

    D&D 5E (2014) Multiclassing stat requirements

If you build a Paladin based on Dex, just house rule the Str requirement to Dex for that PC and carry on. As has been stated, the rule is there to prevent "dipping" and accidental suck. If the paladin is viable with Dex instead of Str, then no problems.

I agree. Heck, even after that... :)

D&D 5E (2014) Thoughts Regarding the Number of Attuned Items

Well, you never know. We might all be smoking crack...

[UPDATED] Dragon+: An Official D&D iOS App

Gaming magazines that last any time at all eventually become house organs. Dragon became that very early on in it's existence. Also, if it's mainly fluff articles, there's not much need to differentiate player and DM articles.

Good point, I'm getting my D&D and 13th Age hp analogies mixed up.

D&D 5E (2014) Thoughts Regarding the Number of Attuned Items

Magic items are unnecessary. Your reasoning is sound. I'm not sure why the players would complain about this, unless they're bringing expectations from recent editions with them.

If this is a problem, I suggest staying away from any mobile or internet connected devices.

[UPDATED] Dragon+: An Official D&D iOS App

Small, mobile-oriented articles aren't easy to use in game. They are good for perusing at your leisure during life downtime. So keeping it to stuff that is interesting to read or spur the imagination is better than crunch.

Sage Advice: Jeremy Crawford on Ability Checks & What They're Not

When you're not sure, always pick C. Seriously, I agree. Doing more damage means better knowing how to take out your foe, not that your fire bolt is now a lava ball (IMO, of course).
