    D&D 5E (2024) Lycanthropes in the MM

That is not true. Silvered weapons are move effective, you have to look in the PHB, not the MM IIRC. Now the effectiveness is greatly reduced, but they are still more effective. Edit: it is in the DMG
  4. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D 5E (2024) Okay MM 2024 is fully released, when is the 5.5e SRD going to be released?

They have already called the new SRD 5.2 (the previous one was 5.1 btw)

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

I think you have done a good job of explaining why the change was not based on ideas of inclusivity. Thank you for that!

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

Ok, I’ve seen scribe doing that, but that is not technically gaslighting is it? Edit: I’ve seen more posts now and kinda is see what your saying, but a lot of people are not explaining themselves, they are just say no that is not what I mean. So it does seem disingenuous

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Marilith Is Far More Bestial In 2025

Is the classic marilith really an interesting design? Snake women have been around for centuries, I don’t think adding two pairs of arms is that innovative or interesting. I’m not suggesting the new design is better, but let’s be honest the marilith is not an innovative monster design.

Who is or where do you see gaslighting? I haven’t gone through all these pages and pages, but I haven’t seen any gaslighting. People having different opinions on the same thing is not gaslighting
  9. Uni-the-Unicorn!

D&D General What would your "fourth core rulebook" be?

    I 2nd a “book of options”
  10. Uni-the-Unicorn!

    D&D 5E (2024) Challenge Rating (CR) and the 2024 /25 Books

It was the same in the 2014 books. So it doesn’t seem odd. The reference to the DMG is probably about converting CR to XP and then using that for your encounter budget
  11. Uni-the-Unicorn!

Are Orcs in the Monster Manual? No and Yes.

Hobgoblins, goblins, and gnollls (among others) still have monster stat blocks

    D&D 5E (2024) 5e 2024 − The Monster Math

It depends how n what your goal here is. I may have misunderstood, but I thought you were trying to analyze the 2024 monsters and figure out how monster creation works. If so, then you have an error, if that was not your goal then you can ignore my comment. I was trying to helpful, not get into...
  13. Uni-the-Unicorn!

    D&D 5E (2024) 5e 2024 − The Monster Math

Not by the guideline of stat mod + prof. Bonus
  14. Uni-the-Unicorn!

Are Orcs in the Monster Manual? No and Yes.

They could have simply removed the ability mods from the 2014 table in the DMG and pasted into the NPC/Humanoids section and that would be pretty good
  15. Uni-the-Unicorn!

Are Orcs in the Monster Manual? No and Yes.

There is already one in the 2014 DMG
  16. Uni-the-Unicorn!

    D&D 5E (2024) 5e 2024 − The Monster Math

    Then your formulas are wrong?
  17. Uni-the-Unicorn!

    D&D 5E (2024) 5e 2024 − The Monster Math

Something is wrong with that chart. The highest possible attack bonus is +19 (unless that have changed things).
  18. Uni-the-Unicorn!

    D&D 5E (2024) 5e 2024 − The Monster Math

I assumed he means smoothed the out so the increase evenly across the CR range. That would be the general understanding of his comment IMO.
  19. Uni-the-Unicorn!

Are Orcs in the Monster Manual? No and Yes.

While I am mostly ok with this approach, I would prefer if they had also included a species feature list like they had in the 2014 DMG. It is less than page, it would have been easy to incorporate
