I 'like' Lovecraft but I absolutely hate his style. It's the other thing that makes actually reading him intensely unpleasant. (Once on Usenet someone told me that I was lying and I really did like his style. I killfiled that twerp so hard their grandparents' posts get blocked by my newsreader.)

I don't know if they're what you're talking about, but I have a set of rubber dice included (as a gag) with something I kickstarted, and they are utterly unusable (except for laughs), because they absolutely will bounce onto the floor, and probably not in the direction you rolled them in.
