    OotS 465 IS up.

An OK episode, but it went one panel too long.

    Will I like Dragonlance books?

Given a limited amount of time there's a heck of lot of other fantasy books I would rank above DragonLance on a reading list. I read DragonLance once, when I was about 11, and after having read the Lord of the Rings. I made it through, but even though I've tried since then I can't even make...

    No! No! Baaaaaaad Marvel Comics!

The thing is though that you could say that about Galactus and the Surfer in any number of ways. There's a million ways that either one of them could have "snapped their fingers" and overpowered earth in a few seconds. "Combat" has nothing to do with it, in a combat the FF would have no chance...

Warlord grew up, garduated and went to college: in Iowa

It can be difficult. I was an English major, so it wasn't nearly as bad for me. I've always explained it as immersion learning. Using your subject example you're in the classroom for calculus up to four hours each weekday for three and a half weeks (17.5 days, professors are required to...

Warlord grew up, garduated and went to college: in Iowa

I graduated from Cornell College in '90. Great college, the "One Class at a Time" makes all the difference in the world. I wish more places would do that. Just a great great way to take classes (though difficult for things like math or sciences). I can't say enough good things about this...

Jog my memory about a movie pun.

Hmmm... Bart: [on grandstand to the townspeople] Excuse me while I whip this out. [reaches into waistline as crowd gasps and screams; Bart pulls out paper, they sigh with relief] Bart returns unexpectedly after being sentenced to death] Charlie: They said you was hung. Bart: And they was...

Finally some Durkon! Of all the characters I think Durkon has the most chance to help pull some good out of this battle, I'm hoping his appearance here will mean that we'll see more of him very soon.

When the Universe tries to tell you something, you should listen.

I got a handsfree bluetooth for my phone, and I never fail to use it in the car. It's on before I put the car into gear. With two kids at home I don't see any reason to take chances. The headset auto answers the phone after two rings, so I don't have to look away from my driving on the off...

Glen Cook's Garrett Books Being Reprinted

Agreed on all counts. I have all the books, the blurbs are uniformly poor. I would add that I've never really liked the cover art, it's always felt non-representative of the story (and even the characters pictured) to me. The books themselves I can't recommend enough.

I didn't get the impression that they had the time, I thought this was a "win this battle or the BBEG rules the world" battle. I'm vaguing on this, but wasn't part of the prophecy that Xykon would go to Girard's Gate? Why would he need to do that unless he lost this gate somehow? How could he...

I agree. I wonder why this whole scene was even thought worthy of a strip. Badassitude could have been much more easily and effectively indicated by having the battle take place off screen and the results discovered later, perhaps by one of our heroes. That said, I'm betting Rich is going...

    Explaining Virtual Tabletops

As stated above, I guarantee that FG isn't built strictly for the SRD, so I would think Warlocks could be added. Do I know how to do that? No. But I'm sure it could be done. :D

Pathfinder 1E Paizo no longer publishing Dungeon and Dragon

I couldn't agree more. I'm as computer saavy as anyone. I have a wireless network at home, two laptops and a desktop. Heck, I use Fantasy Grounds to play RPG's on the computer. But you know what? For content like that provided by Dungeon and Dragon I don't WANT it electronically. I want to...

Pathfinder 1E Paizo no longer publishing Dungeon and Dragon

QFMFT. I don't think Dungeon had ever been better. It's been the best value and most valuable playing aid for me. Dragon was a little more variable, but both have been subscriptions that I've had for years and never regretted. What a blow. What an unfortunate, unwise decision. To the Paizo...

I was actually thinking along the same lines: that Durkon's player was a little overwhelmed by the size and complexity of the encounter, and has faded into the background. I have a suspicion (or maybe a hope) that Durkon will open the taps and let loose the lager of war before this party is over.
